- Description: Student Teaching Scholarship. This award is presented to a student who has returned to receive teacher licensure following a bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate will be a post-bachelor’s, M.A.T. or M.A. student in elementary or secondary education who will be student teaching for a full semester. Awards will be based on documentation of financial need, promise in the field of teaching as evidenced by the student’s personal statement and letters of recommendation, and grade point average. Award: $1,500. Eligibility: Students who have paid a substantial portion of their college expenses and can document need, Students with good grade point averages and exceptional promise as teachers, Students who have applied for and expect approval for either fall or spring semester student teaching and who will be registered for at least 12 semester hours, Students planning to teach after completing the program.
