Advancement Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Incoming freshmen who are accepted for admission by the March 1 Financial Aid priority deadline receive automatic consideration if they: (1) have a minimum 22 ACT or 1010 SAT score; (2) have a minimum 3.25 high school GPA; and (3) reside in one of Alabama’s Black Belt counties, reside in a county identified by AU's Office of Enrollment Services as an underrepresented county, and/or attend a high school identified by the State of Alabama Department of Education and AU's Office of Enrollment Services as a priority school. Additional consideration is given to those students who are first generation college students and/or demonstrate financial need through completion of the FAFSA . Advancement Scholarships are awarded in March at $20,000 over four years ($5,000 per year).
