Go to the career excel events. They're helpful to making contacts and learning important skills. Take advantage of the library's online resources and the inter-library loan system (If you do the latter, don't wait until the last minute. The book may take longer than you think to arrive). Nothing in the immediate area of campus is open late(except for a gas station across the street from West Campus). Sparts Den (food) is open until midnight every night. Plan your late night snacking accordingly.

Don't be afraid to go to the writing center or to get tutoring, studying comes hard to many students and the staff are really helpful and give good techniques to study

There are plenty of things during orientation that help you to meet people. also the activities on campus including; greek life, campus activties board, residence life staff, help to branch someones personal and professional connections.
Read MoreAmazing programs in chemistry, biology, nursing and business. The campus is small and it only takes about 10 minutes to walk from main campus to west campus. The local York City is full of small-business shops and great food. And the community around YCP is very close, everyone gets along and you feel very safe, campus is very pretty throughout the seasons as well.
