If you are willing to spend the time, the professors are more than willing to help you out. Some of the classes are hard and require after class work, but in the end it's all worth it. They don't restrict you on what you can / can't take. It's up to you. They have great tools that allow you to plan out your entire four or five year schedule and it shows you just want you need to take to receive your degree.

The U is diverse, to the point where you can meet all sorts of people! It may seem intimidating since it's a big institution but you really only need to know where you have to go so it actually seems small. There is always something to do and Dinky Town is right outside of campus!

The University of Minnesota is pretty good because it provides a lot of support system for students while also allowing students the freedom to explore different paths that they are interested in. There are also a lot of things students can choose to do outside of school. For example, joining student groups or hanging out with friends at all the different locations at the university.

It's one of the most oxymoronic colleges I've ever been at, and in the best way. I am able to make it big or small, all depending on where I want to go on campus and who I want to see. And better yet, your professors are awesome, and even though you might not connect with them all the time, that's what the blessing of a TA is so that you always have someone that you can ask questions to!

I think that this a wonderful, large campus with multitudinous opportunities. The only things I have frustration with is that housing and tuition is a hefty sum, and when you are accepted to the college, it doesn't mean you are accepted to your major. Other than that they try to do their best to make it safe and include all types of people.

It's a great campus; right in the city so tons of things to do, plenty of ways to get around and so beautiful. The education is good as well and the reputation of the school is solid. But the main thing for me is that whatever you could want this school has--want a small, tightknit community? There are plenty of ways to find that here. Want the camaraderie spirit as you gather round for your sports team? Gophers have that too. Want quiet coffeehouses with great vibes for studying and cute insta pics or boppin' new places to go on a Friday night? You can have both here.
