Penn State is a first class University. Professors are both well informed and intriguing. Even the biggest lecture classes can seem like an engaging one on one meeting. The class listings also are very various and allow for much customization in the college experience. Ine general professors and advisers seem to genuinely care about my progress. The only con I find is that since the school is so large many of the courses fill up quickly so stay on your toes.

For such a populated campus, it really is a tight community. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and there are always sports events or school-sponsored events occurring around campus. The area and support from the town outside and surround the university is exciting and small-town like.

I came from a community college and Penn State definitely gave me the help I needed to acclimate to living the University life. I would recommend this school to anybody looking for a good college to get any degree, because the teachers and staff go the extra mile to make sure you are where you need to be.

Penn State University is in short what you make it. If you are taking a more difficult major, chances are you won't have a lot of time to do what you want without taking a hit to your grades. There really are lots of great clubs, organizations, and opportunities to have here, and Penn State really promotes self-motivation, where its up to you to plan what classes you want when you want, but it comes down to focus and restraint if you want to succeed academically.
