I lived off campus. I experienced the dorm life from a distance when I'd visit friends. I can say that there is a slight disconnect from the college life experience…
dorm life is absolutely fantastic. it is like living in a mini suburb. you get to leave your doors open when you're studying just so that you can meet new…
The dorms at Pacific are, for the most part, very nice and enjoyable to live in, and each is managed by an amazing RA staff. Though some of the buildings…
New dorm looks amazing!…
My favorite meal in the cafeteria is the breakfast because the cooks are so good and I just love breakfast. Lunch and dinner are okay, but lately the cafeteria has been letting people fill out comment cards in order to better the food at Pacific. The newest meal they have been cycling through is sushi! It has been a big hit! The cafeteria offers a lot of variety, but sometimes something as simple as meat can be super dry or bland.
Read MoreFood is alright. They have recently redecorated the university center that holds the cafeteria and added a full service Starbucks. The actually cafeteria food isn't too great. It seems nice at first but meals become repetitive and not so good. They do have a small convienance store, but it is overpriced.
Read MoreThe food was okay. It improved as the years passed. Pacific is small and doesn't have big chain restaurant options. Maggie's Buns though, is a very popular place to go! It is an outstanding little restaurant, just a couple minutes away from campus. You can't go wrong with any choice made there. Plus, students get a discount. Pac Thai is also a go-to for Pacific Students. If you're in a mood for a burger and a milkshake, Scottie's is the place for you. There's also a grocery store about a block away, for those who want to cook at home.
Read MoreThe food is very good, with a great selection ( and I am picky.)
Read MoreCollege food is college food, Pacific has food but the options are quite limited. The people in charge of dining, although they may be friendly, are still disinclined to spend money on things they find too expensive so a majority of the food served is unhealthy.
Read MoreThe food isn't good for the most part. Don't get a meal plan if you don't need to, or take the most declining balance possible.
Read MorePacific's dining services are perhaps the one area where things fall flat. There has been a lot of controversy even within the past year and a half over the school's food supplier, Aramark, and complaints about the quality of the food are neither rare nor unfounded. Still, the dining staff itself are all awesome, and the dining hours are easy enough to remember. On top of that, dining services (along with Greek life) occasionally put on big dinners before things like winter break, and these are always delicious.
Read MoreFrom what I remember, Pacific only has one dining hall, which is somewhat limiting. However, there choices were quite varied and students can put in requests to the cooking staff on food choices they would like to have available.
Read MoreThe food here has some ups and downs. In general its bland, though a few of their dishes have been improving over the course of the year.
Read MoreThere is an abundance of choices for food. some good and some food people dont like but overall not too bad
Read MoreGreek life at Pacific is toned down in comparison to Greek Life at other universities. However, they still have their own respective parties and events that would classify them as traditional fraternities or sororities. But what is unique about Pacific's Greek Life is that they are all focused academically and do a good deal of philanthropic work.
Read MoreOur Greek life isn't officially recognized, but the initiations are a lot more humane and monitored than if it were to go on a public college.
Read MoreWe do not have housings for fraternities and sororities, but we do have a lounge for them to gather and meet up. Most of the fraternities and sororities here are community service based as well.
Read MoreThere's a little bit of greek life... but not much. You can occasionally hear some brotherhood chanting outside in the middle of the night how awesome they are, or while you're at the dining hall, some pledge girls are told to sing in front of everyone eating, but I do not know much about it, other than that.
Read MoreNot a bunch on campus, but there are a few.
Read MoreI am involved in a sorority here and my sisters have become my closest friends and supporters.
Read MoreGreek life is tiny and not a big deal whatsoever
Read MoreGreek life exists, but it is not the dominant social scene as it is in some schools.
Read MoreGreek life is not what it is in big universities here. No fraternity/sorority has a house, and there is not always a positive vibe if you belong to one.
Read MoreI am a member of Delta Chi Delta, and I love being in the sorority. There are four sororities and three fraternities, each with its own unique personality. Pretty much everyone can find a group they will fit in with. Pacific University has a strong anti-hazing policy.
