A pre-physical therapy program prepares undergraduate students to earn a master's degree in physical therapy at an accredited university.
In your pre-physical therapy program, you can expect to receive instruction in the core areas you'll need to be successful to transition to a master's program. Typical courses you will study include anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, chemistry, biology, and physics. While some of the subjects will be hands-on, you typically won't complete any clinical work until you start your master's degree.
Most students go on to earn a master's degree in physical therapy after completing a pre-physical therapy program. However, others may choose different career paths in the health care field.
