Engineering Technology, General
An engineering technology degree is the right compromise for students who love all things tech-related but are also interested in becoming engineers. This major will teach students how they can use their aptitude for technology to support engineering projects and they'll learn to apply, implement, and improve existing technologies.
Majoring in engineering technology will give you advanced knowledge in mathematical principles, applied engineering elements, and the natural sciences through classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and theoretical modules. At some schools, you'll be allowed to specialize in a particular area of engineering technology, such as biomechanical, computer, or aeronautical.
Upon leaving school with a diploma, you may work in research and development, product improvement, or consulting. A bachelor's degree is typically the minimum qualification required to obtain one of these roles, and it would certainly be beneficial to continue your education and obtain a master's degree at some point.
