so much fun! for culinary students, i suggest you dorm in harborside. all other majors, dorm in the downcity campus. always a party in the dorms, but beware of the…
JWU has great options for dorms. There are 6 dorm options on Downcity campus and 5 on Harborside campus. The great thing about JWU's dorms is they have something in…
Freshman dorms suck. But once you get past that, it's not too bad. Plus, harborside and harborview dorms have a gorgeous view.…
Live in a dorm your first couple of years so you can experience it because the dorns at JWU are awesome. I have a 3 bedroom with a full kitchen…
They have the option to live in a single (seniors only), double, triple, or quad with community styled bathrooms (crew that cleans and stocks) or private bathrooms (students must clean…
Honestly, our food is mediocre at best. I get that food is literally our thing, but honestly, most of our staff consists of a variety of majors so people just follow a generic recipe. If you like trying new food, you'd probably enjoy it but that's not exactly my thing.
Read MoreWhile most campus's have a dinning hall or two, Johnson & Wales has a Dinning Hall on the down city campus and one on the Harboside campus. In addition to both dining hallS, JWU offers a variety of other dining options to keep your meal plan from being repetitive. These places include, Red Sauce (italian style food), BYOB (Build your own burrito), City Burger (burgers and fries), Starbucks, and Market Place (a full market of snacks and pre-made foods)
Read MoreFor a culinary school one would think that the food would be better but it is awesome for a university
Read MoreThe food on compass depends on the night and who is cooking. For a Culinary School, the food definitely should be better.
Read MoreTypical food hall but there is a bunch of restaurants around to choose from.
Read MoreIt varies. But being on harborside, you get sick of pasta. There are plenty of options downtown or on harborview though.
Read MoreRestaurant, fast food, and buffet styled dining halls on campus. There is a JWU app that tells the menu for the day at the buffet styled dining halls. The app also tells you the hours of operation.
Read MoreWe're a culinary school as well, so this being said, the dining halls could be better.
Read MoreGreek life is very active, you'll always know of at least one person in a fraternity/sorority. Not only do we have "traditional" frats/sororities, we also have a fair amount of cultural ones.
Read MoreGreek life at Johnson & Wales University Providence campus is unlike anything i have ever experienced. With so many Sororities and Fraternities on campus, it is almost like we have our own little community. Every organization on campus does whatever they can to support each other especially when it comes to fundraising for our philanthropies. The friends made within Greek life (including Alumni) become a great way to network and find job or internship opportunities all over.
Read MoreI'm not about that greek life.
Read MoreVery large and active Greek Life. All of the sororities and frats are highly involved in the community and are always volunteering or attending events.
Read MoreVery small greek life
Read MoreAs a member of Greek Life on campus, I believe it is an excellent opportunity for students to improve as a person. It gets students involved in community service, on campus activities, and networking. Members of Greek organizations tend to have higher GPAs because it means a lot to them and they also have very strong values. I also promote Greek Life to prospective students.
Read MoreSuper expensive, but can be fun if you know how to budget your party to work ratio.
