iupui had an multitude of housing events that are fun and are great bonding experiences. the ra's here are amazing and are their for their residents. majority of iupui's housing…
Dorm life is amazing at iupui, originally I wanted one of the fancy new dorms, also known as anything but Ball Residence Hall, however I was assigned to Ball Hall…
i met most of my friends from ball hall freshman year. since my freshman year, they've converted university hotel into the tower, and have built new dorms. iupui is really…
Students are not required to live on campus, even if you are a freshman. For those who wish to live on campus, there are on campus apartments and other places…
i commute to capmus everyday. i don't know what its like to live in a dorm. i have heard its nice.…
I have never lived on campus, so I have only gone as far grabbing a quick breakfast or lunch from the campus center or one of the small shops on my way to class. If I had to rely on campus food for all of my meals, I would not be as pleased. There are only a handful of restaurants in the campus center, which is fine for occasional dining. Several building have little shops where you can get simple things like a muffin, yogurt, or fruit. If you like quick and easy breakfast and going out to eat for lunch and dinner then it's not too bad. Campus is located in the middle of downtown Indy, so there are plenty of dining options off-campus that are within close range. I cook all of my meals because I find it healthier and cheaper, so this would drive me crazy, but for some, it works!
Read MoreThere is only one dinning hall here. Compared to most other schools where there are multiple dinning halls with more options. Although there is variety, all of the choices are very low quality and will make you feel as though you’re malnourished, because you will be after living here for a year and eating this “food” you will be. I suggest living somewhere you can make your own food.
Read MoreThe food here is exceptional but it's mostly chain restaurants.
Read MoreThere are plenty of dining options at IUPUI both for students in dorms and commuters.
Read MoreNow this is where IUPUI falls short - the food! During orientation for breakfast there was a large glob called "eggs" and I was instantly unimpressed. Even when going to the cafe its the same plain thing. Some new, interesting dishes would be nice. There are two restaurants on campus that are better options.
Read MoreTower dining is either a hit or a miss depending on the day and the meal. The Tower also has the Den where you can use meal swaps. So you can use a meal swipe from Tower Dining at the Den. The Campus Center also has food options like Papa Johns and Chick-fil-a, but you use real money to pay for it. You can use your Crimson Card if it has EZ Deposit money on it, though. There are also tons of places outside of campus in walking distance if you want something different. Some places offer special deals if you pay with your Crimson Card throughout the week.
Read MoreThe food at IUPUI gets overwhelming. I dislike how the freshman are required to have a meal plan but I guess it's convenient. The commons in the Campus Center and The Den in the towers are pretty good, but the dining food is barely okay. They repeatedly serve some of the same meals over and over. Another thing is there were more than two incidents were students found their chicken tenders undone. Lastly, on the weekends they do not serve whole meals like on the weekdays. The only serve pizza, chicken tenders, and the breakfast station is opened, which eventually you'll get tired of eating there.
Read Morethe food in the campus center is awesome, however, i wish it was open later. the tower food is alright, i haven't really tried much of it though. there are a lot of food options that are very close to campus.
Read Moreit's soooooooo good!
Read MoreThere are many dining places surrounding the campus that accept Jagtags (the IUPUI ID card). The Tower also has dining but I have heard mixed reviewed about the dining options there.
Read MoreCouldn't tell you.
Read MoreI don't have knowledge on this subject. Apologies.
Read MoreAlthough IUPUI does have Greek life on campus, they do not have their own housing. They're pretty scarce around campus as well...
Read MoreGreek life is on campus, but it isn't as prominent as it is at other bigger universities.
Read Moreas a part of greek life at iupui, i have learned to love this school so much more. its make it feel like home to me. i never go a day on campus without seeing someone i've met through greek life. its like having a second family away from home.
Read MoreGreek life at Iupui is fairly non traditional, meaning there aren't houses really. They have sororities and fraternities but they are relatively small. However, you always hear about something going on with Greek life trying to get people involved in the community.
Read MoreThere are several opportunities to get involved in Greek life on the IUPUI campus. With 12 sororities and 12 fraternities, IUPUI has a chance for people of all background to get socially involved. **IUPUI and the state of Indiana have a strictly enforced anti-hazing policy. Any student involved in hazing should report to an IUPUI staff member involved in Sorority and Fraternity life. This hazing prevention law is set in place to prevent harm to any IUPUI student involved, or non-involved, in IUPUI Sorority and Fraternity life.
Read MoreThey have historically black fraternities, which is really cool and I appreciate the representation.
Read MoreGreek life at IUPUI is alive and well, and there are numerous opportunities to get involved. Many a day have I seen the campus center filled with various organizations looking for membership, as they're always actively recruiting.
