i lived in jpr this year, which is a coed freshmen dorm. it had moments of being utterly disgusting but, overall, it was really fun. …
As first years there are both single sex and co-ed dormitories. They consist of a decent amount of diversity and there is never a need to feel like you aren't…
saga is hit or miss. i personally hated it but some people love the place. there are other options on campus like the cafã© and the pub. there is also a wegman's that you could go to.
Read MoreThe food in all the dining halls is quite good. Eating at the main dining hall is recommended because on the main food plan the food at the dining hall is free. Most of the dining halls (except for the main dining hall) stay open late for students.
Read MoreAt first I thought the food and dining at the university would be terrible, but once I got on campus, there were many options that a student could have. There is the regular dining hall called saga, the Cellar Pub, the Cafe and De Cordova Cafe on the campus, which all provide pretty good food for students.

Read MoreThe food here is excellent and the dining choices on and off campus are the students' most raved about thing. We have the famous Joe's Hot restaurant which is the most popular choice of students right across the street from the bristol gym on campus.
Read MoreNot very healthy options. There's always a new dish everyday so you don't have to worry about getting bored. However some of the choices are terrible for you - chicken alfredo.
Read MoreThere is only one cafeteria, which has decent food. There are two other eating options on campus, but the food can get old fast.
Read MoreHWS dining services is one of the few low points of the school. However, the other on campus dining options (the cafe and the pub) both have good food so you can switch it up. In addition, Geneva has multiple great restaurants that are very close to the school that students can take advantage of.
Read MoreThere are only fraternities on campus, and the existance of sororities on the campus is voted on every few years which is normally rejected by the William Smith Congress. So it can vary depending on what a student is interested in.
Read MoreUnfortunately Hobart and William Smith Colleges only has fraternities.
Read MoreWe have fraternities but no sororities, sorry.
Read MoreThere are frats but no sororities.
Read MoreGreek life is a big part of campus life. While there are no sororities at this time, there are 7 fraternities on campus that involve many different types of people. Anyone who I have talked to says that their experiences with their fraternities have been the best part of their time at HWS.
Read MoreDue to the coordinate college system, HWS only has fraternities, not sororities. Every few years, a group of WS women will attempt to establish one, but it will ultimately be voted out by the rest of the student body. This is generally considered to be because as women can attend the fraternity parties, there is no need to risk the other stigmas that sororities often carry. Hobart Fraternities include Chi Phi, Delta Chi, Kappa Alpha, Kappa Sigma, Phi Sigma Kappa, and Theta Delta Chi. Hobart men cannot rush until their sophomore year. Chi Phi and Kappa Sigma host the most parties open to the entire campus. All fraternities host exclusive socials and gatherings in addition to these parties. For more information on frat parties, see the What to do for fun section.
