Read MoreBoston is not too far away and there are different buses/trains that can be taken to get into the city. There's obviously a ton to do in Boston. Closer to campus are a good amount of shopping centers/malls. There are beautiful beaches less than 15 minutes away. Also, Gordon is right near a few *adorable* little New England towns so spending an afternoon exploring is a lot of fun.
Read MoreI love to go to Singing beach or go to Northshore mall with my friends. There is also a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, biking, or even rock climbing. The train is 15 minutes away by car and it's a lot of fun to check out Salem or Boston for a day with friends as well.
Read MoreGordon encourages everyone to attend a church in a surrounding community. There are no worship services on campus on Sundays. There are many music groups (both instrumental and vocal), good sports teams (no football team though), Christian faith groups, and other types of clubs on campus to join. They hold Ye Olde Scottie Faire every fall where students can see all the clubs and sign up for them. It is also pretty easy to start a club of your own if you wish. The campus shuttle runs on a limited schedule, with limited seating, every day of the week. Depending on the day, the shuttle makes stops at several nearby shopping malls, the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (affiliated with Gordon), and a grocery store plaza at a stop on the MBTA commuter rail. Many students take the train into Boston for church, internships, or just a day trip, and it is a great city to visit. Because Gordon is a Christian college, no alcohol/smoking/etc. is allowed on campus, even for people of age. This is pretty heavily enforced and if you are caught with any substances you are likely to get expelled. Smoking is not allowed on campus, so if you wish to smoke you are required to walk at least a quarter of a mile down the road from campus. Many students go off campus to nearby Endicott College or Salem State University for parties, as there are no parties on campus.

Read MoreThere is a lot happening on campus, on any given night there are people playing music in the lounge or people swing dancing and there is always someone cooking in the kitchens. There are also two malls only a couple minutes down the road that have a ton of great stores. The campus also has acres of woods that are wonderful for running or just taking a stroll. If you go the opposite direction there is the ocean only 5 miles from campus.
