Categories Comments Campus Safety This campus is really safe and the campus police make sure nothing or no one can hurt us.
Great for these types of students Great for students who love a small, safe, and quiet campus.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The learning commons is a very big spot for many students to go to.
What to do for fun There are some scheduled activities around campus, but it's best to go off campus to find really fun and cool spots.
Food and Dining The food is pretty basic, but they do have some good healthy options you can pick from. One certain days they tend to serve some really good meals.
Dorm Life The dorms on campus are spacious, full of life, and nice. Armstrong really makes sure your dorm experience is pleasant.
Academic Rigor The academics at Armstrong State University is pretty hard, but if you study you will definitely pass your classes with a breeze.
Tips for prospective students Go to open house to check out the campus before you enroll.
In three sentences Armstrong is a pretty good school the activities they have around campus are very informational and fun. The beach is just a few minutes away from the campus which is very beautiful. Overall, Armstrong is the perfect school for anyone who is looking for a great education with a little fun.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are many things you can do for fun in Savannah and on Armstrong's campus. Depending on what you like, you can compete in intramural sports or go to the school's rec center. There are plenty of clubs and Greek life groups that you can join that host school events such as dances, and Armstrong provides some entertaining guests as well such as comedians and concerts. Just try to see what is happening on campus if you decide to go there. Outside of Armstrong's campus, there are plenty of things you can do. There are malls for people who like to shop. You can go to the beach, go bowling, or play laser tag. You could just go out to eat with friends, but there are a lot of things you can do. One should take a look at what is in Savannah that suites their desires, and one should also see what events are happening in Savannah as well.
Food and Dining The food provided in the school cafeteria, known as "The Galley", was usually not good for lunch and dinner; however, the breakfast is always fantastic. If you do not enjoy The Galley, there are other options on campus, which I have not tried myself but have heard are better. Additionally, there are many restaurants just down the road such as Chick-fil-a, Cookout, and KFC.
Dorm Life During my stay, I roomed in Compass Point dorms, which had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The dorm was rather large and more like an apartment, and is probably one of the better places to stay on-campus. I do not know exactly how great the normal dorm rooms are in the place known as Windward Commons, but I still know that they were better than similar dorms on other campuses. Additionally, the maintenance team was very quick and helpful to fix problems in the dorms.
Academic Rigor I feel that Armstrong generally provides a degree of rigor that is not too challenging but is still tough enough that you need to understand the material to do well. In my opinion, a class should be this way. Of course, there are some professors that are more difficult than others, which is why it is always wise to look up professors online before taking their classes in order to ensure that they will be the right fit for you.
Tips for prospective students Obviously, make friends. Specifically, you would want some that are in the same classes and/or degree programs as you because they can be useful resources in classes, and they can help you decide what professors you should take for your major. Look up professors online on a variety of websites before you register for their classes because some professors just are not as good as others, and you should want one that can help you succeed in the classroom.
In three sentences Armstrong is a smaller university that provides a variety of helpful resources for their students in multiple aspects from academics to athletics. All professors that I have had are willing to help their students, and they attempt to keep their students engaged during classes. The school and its location is big enough for one to not be overwhelmed but still have things to do.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Nothing unless you have a car or money for Uber.
Food and Dining The "Galley" as they call it, is not the best and the only places that deliver are pizza places.
Tips for prospective students Make friends with the Right people and quickly because everyone cliques up fast. Study hard.
In three sentences Armstrong is boring if you don't know how to make your own fun. Not the school for everyone. The people aren't the best either. That's just from my experience.

Categories Comments What to do for fun there is not much to do on campus, unless your the sporty type. you can go the gym, and they are open 7 days a week. also you can sign up for intramural sports and create a team with your friends or get put in a random team and meet new people.
Food and Dining the food is mediocre at best in my opinion. it gets a little repetitive, the food is not really all that healthy. the only healthiest foods to choose from is at the salad bar.
Dorm Life i think dorm life was great. i got to meet a lot of fantastic people at the dorms. the rooms itself are nice and you have the option to have a roommate or not. the maintenance is very quick, so if you ever have a maintenance problem in your dorm, then call customer service and tell them what your problem, and they will be there within an hour.
Academic Rigor the classes are not too difficult, but you definitely have to spend a couple hours a week for each class. this would be the best way to -succeed in your classes.
Tips for prospective students one tip i can give you is to learn the campus before classes start. give yourself some time to check the campus out, take a look at where your classes might be, and maybe say hello to a couple students there. by getting to know more people, the better your college experience will be.
In three sentences armstrong state university is a great university with a variety of academic and social opportunities which will aid you in your college experience. if you like a small-town like and quiet environment, then armstrong is the perfect place to go. the people there are incredibly nice who will help you fit right in if your new.

Categories Comments Greek Life not a diverse variety.
Great for these types of students students who are independent and those who especially don't have to work a job while in school. also great for writers because just about every class you come in contact with you will have to write a essay.
What to do for fun leave campus
Tips for prospective students take serious the required courses that this school will make you take, though its unrelated and useless to your major.
In three sentences this university has a safe campus. in many students opinion this school is boring. this school is lacking in diversity and cultural acceptance.

Tips for prospective students Make sure you use rate my professor and check out the professors before you get your schedules.

Categories Comments What to do for fun I don't know about activity level other than there is a beach 15 minutes away.
Food and Dining I have heard good things about the food.
Dorm Life I don't Like the crime rate that seems to follow Savannah but the students and faculty seem nice so I would think it would be okay.
Academic Rigor I have heard many great things about the rigor. It should be challenging.
Tips for prospective students Research all aspects of Savannah. Remember that the school isn't the only thing that you need to look at. The environment, crime rate, scenery, and activities local are things that should be of interest as well considering you will be living there for the amount of time it takes to gain your degree.
In three sentences I like the campus, its very diverse and it has great resources. Its 15 minutes from the beach which is great for downtime. The students and faculty seem very nice and welcoming.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I feel safe almost all of the time on campus, even at night. The campus police are always ready to respond and are very helpful in any situation.
Greek Life Greek life seems to be the main presence on campus, but no one will really treat you differently if you aren't a part of it.
Clubs and Activities There is a wide variety of clubs to join on campus for almost any interest you have. Clubs are always looking for new members and welcome all students to join.
Great for these types of students Armstrong is great for students who want a small campus and a quiet campus life. There is so much to do off campus, that the quiet atmosphere on campus makes up for it.
What to do for fun There's not much to do on campus other than hang out with your friends or watch movies. Occasionally, the school will host some type of event for students, but as far as every day entertainment, there isn't really anything unless you go off campus to Tybee Island or Downtown Savannah.
Food and Dining There isn't much variety in the Galley, and it's easy to get bored of eating the same things over and over again. There is a World of Wings and a Quiznos on campus which a lot of people prefer. The quality of food in the Galley isn't the greatest sometimes either, but it does have its moments.
Dorm Life Freshmen dorms here are some of the best I've seen. It's very easy to make friends if you just say hello to people. There are plenty of opportunities to socialize. Most of the time people are very considerate of those living beneath them, and no one is too loud at inappropriate times.
Academic Rigor Depending on the classes you take, the rigor of the course can range from pretty easy to very difficult, and also depends on each individual student. I would say that the classes are fairly rigorous, no more so than I've been used to my whole life; however, they aren't too rigorous to where I can't handle them. That might not be true of everyone, though. From accounts of other students, it also depends on the professor as well. Some are difficult and some are easy. Do your research on each professor before taking their class, and get opinions from other students.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you talk too your advisers thoroughly and ask them questions on anything you are concerned about. Walk around the campus and explore because you might get lost if you don't know where you're going, but the campus is small enough to where you won't ever be too far away from wherever you're trying to get to.
In three sentences Armstrong is a wonderful, tight knit community that cares for it's students and every wants to help in whatever way they can. The campus itself is beautiful and there's always something to look at. The life outside campus balances well with life on campus.

Categories Comments What to do for fun For fun I go to the mall and shop around. I tend to go to the gy for fun as well. Armstrong has a really nice fitness center.
Food and Dining The food is actually pretty good. Not many schools have such a good selection as we do here.
Dorm Life The dorm life is decent. it really helps you get to know people and feel at home when you are attending college.
Academic Rigor The education here is great. Most teachers really care about where you are headed in life and will work with you to help you succeed.
Tips for prospective students For those people coming into this school. you will love t. i would advise you to do things to get to know everyone on campus. such as intramurals and Greek life if you are a social person.
In three sentences This college is very diverse culturally. there is no such thing as just one culture being represented. A lot of the people are extremely nice. The school is around a great environment where you can go out and have fun when you are trying to break away from your studies.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The police are always lurking!! :-)
Clubs and Activities There are many different sororites and clubs to choose from
Great for these types of students Any type of student!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I recently noticed that the campus uses a prtion of our financial aid to feed, neuter and spray the cats that are roaming around campus. I feel that students should have a choice in a matter as such especially when there are students withouth health insurance and students who go without eating themselves.
What to do for fun They sometimes have campus breakfast where you can attend breakfast in your p.j.'s and I think that that is fun. They hold lots of cook outs and other fun events on campus along with movie days! I'm sure you can find something to get into!
Food and Dining Either you eat in the cafeteria which isn't worth half of the price charged or you get quality food from the Perk and pay double the price!
Dorm Life Boring. Boring Boring!
Academic Rigor Stay on top of your school work!!
Tips for prospective students Stay on top of your financial aid!! I have been through a trial every sememster due to simple and overlooked mistakes. I would also recommend seeing more than one advisor. Not all of them provide to you the options available to you.
In three sentences The proffesors are very serious about their crafts! A bit unnessesary when it comes to school work sometimes. I feel that they try to make the classes harder than they really are in hopes of living up to their old standard of being a private college. Overall a good upstanding school to sttend.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus police here are overbearing, yet very unhelpful. They constantly drive around in trucks and are parked in random locations trying to catch anyone doing anything wrong. My car got keyed on campus my freshman year, and I filed a police report and they were snotty and rude and very unhelpful. Other than drive around, waste gas as well as my tuition money, I don't understand why we have such a large police force on such a small campus.
Greek Life There are only a few fraternities or sororities on campus, and they're more like clubs than anything. There are no Greek houses, so meetings are held in UH or the student union. They don't have mixers or parties like typical greeks at larger colleges. They're very clique-y and dominate the lobby of the student union.
What to do for fun This campus is very small and doesn't offer a lot of fun things to do. You can always go to the gym for a pickup game of basketball or volleyball. There's a beach volleyball court in Compass Point. There's usually soccer or ultimate frizbee going on in the rec fields. Other than play sports, you really have to make your own fun here. Downtown is really nice, but that's a 20 minute drive on a good day. Tybee is great, and it's not too far away, but it's only nice enough to go there a few weeks out of the school year. Make sure you have hobbies before you come to this school or you'll get stuck in a netflix-and-nap routine.
Food and Dining The Galley is basically your only option for food here. The pantry and the patio cafe have sandwiches, but if you want a hot meal, you go to the galley. Meal plans are required if you live on campus. The food here is atrocious. I honestly only ever eat there when I'm desperate for food and have meals left. It usually smells funky when you walk in, and you leave disappointing and get hungry not very shortly after you leave. Make sure you know how to cook well if you come to this school.
Dorm Life Personally, I did not enjoy dorm life. The freshman dorms seem awful when you're living in them, but once you move out, you're going to wish you had a community feel like that in wherever you live afterwards. For example, I still live on campus, but it's in a more secluded part of campus, and my neighbors aren't very sociable. My good friends live in a different dorm more centrally located and it's very loud and busy all the time there.
Academic Rigor Everyone here is very motivated and works very hard. It helps to surround yourself with people that study in their free time during the week days instead of blowing it off to do whatever else. Since the class sizes are small, the professors get to know you on a personal level, and they expect more from you since you're a person to them, rather than a number. Everyone here pushes you to do your best, and it's a very good learning environment.
Tips for prospective students Personally, Armstrong wasn't for me. However, I know very many people that love it here. I'm transferring to a larger university after this(my sophomore) year. The Greek Life is barely existent and is VERY clique-y. The small class sizes are a plus, however. It lets you have a more personal relationship with your professors as well as classmates. The campus is very VERY small, which has its ups and downs. If you live on campus, it doesn't take more than ten minutes to walk from one end of the campus to the other. However, it does feel small. Personally, I need a change of scenery when I study every once and a while, and there are only a few places that I can study since the campus is so small. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience, but it also wasn't the greatest. I cherish the friendships I've made here, and I love my professors, but if I had the chance to start at a different school, I wouldn't hesitate.
In three sentences I believe that Armstrong is a great place to start if you're planning on transferring to a larger school halfway through. The class sizes are intimate , and the campus is small, so it's very easy to get used to. It's a great transition from high school to a larger university.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are many activities that I have learned about at this college. They are very good about doing things in the community and there are also sports, clubs, and other activities.
Food and Dining There is a meal plan that you can buy as a student, but I have not tried the food.
Dorm Life I will be living off campus, so that my family can stay with me when they visit.
Academic Rigor I have heard and read that this is a very good school to go to. When I tell someone what school that I have been accepted into, they always say, That is a great school.
In three sentences Everyone at this university has been so knowledgeable and helpful to me so far on this journey for my future. Categories Comments Campus Safety I feel completely safe on campus
What to do for fun Surrounding the college campus: Tybee (30 minutes away) Oglethorpe Mall Savannah Mall 2 different movie theaters Downtown Savannah (30 Minutes away) Several places to eat and other stores
Food and Dining The galley....the food is ok but I wish they would season it more than they do.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice and well kept. I have had problems with housing but overall living on campus is convenient. It is expensive and some of the housing staff I have come across have been extremely rude to me for reasons that were uncalled for.
Academic Rigor The classes are difficult and there is a lot of studying and homework to do. However, if you go to the professors for help they are always willing to work with you.
Tips for prospective students Study! Before you begin attending college find out what works and what doesn't when it comes to studying. College classes are difficult but always remember that what you put into your classes is what you get out of them!
In three sentences Attending Armstrong Atlantic State University was a great choice! the faculty/ staff are always nice, the classes are great, and it is a small campus. I would recommend Armstrong to anyone who is looking for a good school.

Academic Rigor It is only as hard as you make it. Study hard and manage your time.
Tips for prospective students To all prospective students, please learn time management! You will have a lot of things to read, essays to write, and tests to study for. It will all be worth it in the end.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are so many clubs and sports teams to join, so there is always something fun to do. The city of Savannah has a lot of culture, history and entertainment. The unique student body allows room for diversity, so the social atmosphere is always changing.
Food and Dining Again, I don't live on campus, so I don't dine there. I do know the little food store they have is expensive. There are also two Starbucks coffee shops on campus, for all the caffeine-fueled students.
Dorm Life I don't live on campus, but I've been told that dorm life is pretty moderate. It isn't very extreme, but it does allow for bonding with other students.
Academic Rigor Armstrong is most known for its intense math program and amazing nursing program. STEM classes are big in this school. However, there are great liberal arts courses offered and Armstrong does its best to be well-rounded, academically-speaking. Overall, the classes are challenging, so there's no room for slacking.
Tips for prospective students The classes and courses require actual work and learning, so academics are taken seriously. The campus engagement is a lot of fun, and our sports teams are amazing. Even though the focus is academics, there is always room for extracurricular activities and fun. Try to find a balance.
In three sentences Armstrong is definitely a small urban school that meets its expectations. It appropriate for people who want to go to a 4 year university, but who don't want to get lost in the crowd. The campus is peaceful and the teachers are focused.

Categories Comments Campus Safety You will see the campus police out and about quite often. Thankfully the most experience I've had with them was when I had to get a parking decal. Armstrong is unique in that it has Cyber Security classes and it has a system in its possession to help fight against cyber crimes. One of the three I think it is in the Southeastern region.
Food and Dining There is a Quiznos and WOW cafe as well as a cafeteria on campus. The surrounding area gives you a decent selection as well.
Dorm Life I personally have not lived in the dorms, but I have not heard bad things.
Academic Rigor The teachers can be pretty tough but they are also helpful.
Tips for prospective students Do all of your work and on time and you will do just fine.
In three sentences Understanding and intellectual professors, who will help you when you need help but won't give you a good grade unless you work for it. It's a pretty small campus, but it is a pretty beautiful one and the groundskeepers do their job well. May not have been my first choice, but I am not disappointed in the school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus police are great! If you need someone to walk with you to your car/dorm just call.
Clubs and Activities Tons of clubs, and bunch of different things they sponser.
Great for these types of students Anyone!
Bang for the buck It's worth it, if you can keep your GPA up. Armstrong is easy to get into, but very hard to stay in.
What to do for fun There's so much stuff you can do! If join clubs/sororities/ fraternities you can go on trips, etc. You can go swimming on campus also! But if you'd like to go off campus there's Tybee and the downtown area.
Food and Dining I wish there was more of a variety, but I'm just happy that they have a Starbucks!
Dorm Life The freshman dorm is really expensive. And if you want to leave you have to pay a fee. Other than that, it's decent. I live off campus, and save a TON of money.
Academic Rigor You really need to push yourself in some classes, but some are very easy with a carefree teacher. Don't slack and spend a lot of time studying; I'd 3-4 hours for you easy classes and 3-7 on those subjects you juts don't understand.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared! College is not like high school, and the first semester might be rough but if you believe you can push through it! And if need be talk to a counselor, they're really helpful!!
In three sentences Armstrong is a place where you can break the mold and become the person you've always wanted to be. It's a wonderful place, where you can make changes for the good of yourself and the community. The campus is beautiful, the teachers are helpful, and the experience is one you only get once in a lifetime!

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are always activities going on on campus. Many from fraternities/sororities and other social groups host these activites. Never really a dull moment on campus.
Food and Dining I have only eaten at they Galley two times the whole semester. It was pretty good but not all fod served is healthy. I buy snacks from the Pantry mostly and salads from the Cafe.
Dorm Life I do not live on campus so I can't say much about dorm life. I have however been inside a few dorms and they are nice and really give you the college feel and sense of having a room mate.
Academic Rigor Academic rigor is at a high in a way. Many programs are very competitve to get in and stay in. However, many professors are there to help and will help. Visiting my professors has really helped me.
Tips for prospective students Time management ans great study skills are two of the main ways to survive college. Armstrong is not as hard as people say if you do what you have to and get the best grades possible.
In three sentences I would give Armstrong a 7 on a scale from 1-10. The campus is very diverse and welcoming. I am a freshman and have had a great experience since the beginning of school.

What to do for fun Armstrong is located in a prime spot to do stuff... There is Tybee Island beach that is a 10 minute drive away. Hilton Head and hour drive. Categories Comments What to do for fun Always events on campus happening , which can also provide you with an accommodating college experience as well as help you get acquainted with a lot of the faculty and other students like oneself.
Food and Dining a decent variety is offered , not a lot of fresh fruit readily available . typically many leftovers are reused, but at least it is inventively.
Dorm Life Wifi is never available. Constant pest control visits which is a good and bad thing.
Academic Rigor Top notch and academically acclaimed studies offered. Very demanding also.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared to teach yourself a lot more , teachers will not hold your hand but they will prepare you for real life, if you fail its on you. Always do any and all extra credit or homework it will help you further understand and better your grades where need be.

Categories Comments Campus Safety A small campus and 24 hour security allow the campus to be monitored well and stay safe.
Bang for the buck Armstrong is a very cost friendly school. Any other larger university would cost double if not triple the amount. The school's located around many apartment complexes that provide housing off campus if needed.
What to do for fun The location is great. There is a beach only about 30 minutes away and there are 2 malls within 5 minutes. Downtown Savannah is fun to walk around and there are many interesting museums and places to go down there.
Food and Dining Armstrong provides multiple coffee shops and a little convenience store. Their cafeteria still lunch is also good.
Dorm Life I do not currently live on campus.
Academic Rigor Armstrong's professors expect their students to spend the time studying and this is not the easiest college in the world, but it's definitely not the hardest. As long as you put in the work, the professors will work with you and help you understand everything.
In three sentences AASU is a fun, but small school to go to. The location of it is perfectly set (not far from the beach, but almost small town-like). The classes are small and everyone knows each other.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus police are constantly surveying the area. The campus police number is posted around the campus. You need your card to get in the building.
What to do for fun You can always go to the beach. There is always something going on. There are clubs to join as well as a miniature room to play games or watch television.
Food and Dining The desserts are amazing! I'm never disappointed when it's time to eat. The staff are very friendly.
Dorm Life It requires a lot of money. The rooms have adequate space and are clean. The walls are thin and the structure feels a little weak.
Academic Rigor The classes will keep you busy though the work isn't too hard if you pay attention. Make sure you go to class everyday. Do all the work that is assigned to you; these are meant to help you, not punish you.
Tips for prospective students Always bring an umbrella with you when you go out. Make sure you study for all your classes. Don't forget to get active on campus.
In three sentences It has beautiful campus. It has wonderful food. It rains here more than I thought.

Categories Comments Campus Safety You can find campus police relatively quickly if needed.
Clubs and Activities The Anthropology Club at AASU is great. They go on lots of fun trips.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus It is close to the beach.
What to do for fun AASU sends out emails to inform students of all on campus activities such as plays and concerts.
Food and Dining There aren't that many on campus options and most that are available are a bit too pricey.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice and there are actives simply for residents.
Academic Rigor The rigor varys class to class and professor to professor, but for the most part it is at an acceptable and understandable level.
Tips for prospective students Come to class and listen.
In three sentences Armstrong is a fairly decent school. Many of the professors genuinely care and want to help, but as always there are improvements that could be made.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Armstrong is VERY STRICT on campus safety. The safer you are the easier your school life would be. No smoking, drugs, any of that. If you want to do those things that badly, go far off campus, like downtown and do that. But you will possible get expelled from Armstrong if they catch you with those things in your possession.
Greek Life Greek Life if amazing! However, Armstrong doesnt have much Greek Life. But our sister school is Savannah State University, which is literally across the street. We go over to their school every now and then to watch the fraternities and sororities stroll and compete. Its really intense
Clubs and Activities There are so many clubs for every type of person. Clubs such as Key Club, Safe School Ambassadors, African American Student Association, Black Student Union, French Club, everything. We have at least 2 activities and events a week. Go! You wont regret it!
Great for these types of students Interact. Trust me, EVERYONE at Armstrong is so friendly and welcoming its almost scary. If they see your alone, a group of people will come up to you and ask you if you'd like to hang out, and get to know you from there.
Bang for the buck Definitely buy things in bulk, but only what you need. Its a real money saver so you wont have to keep buying the same things over and over again every week.
What to do for fun Definitely get involved. Do lots of clubs with your friends, go to the comedy shows, contests, and especially watch the Greek Life stroll, its thrilling!
Food and Dining Food there is okay. But the cafe closes at 10, so if your looking for a midnight snack your outta luck. Thankfully there is a downtown just over the bridge by Armstrong, and they serve late night meals all the time! Its also a great way to meet new people!
Dorm Life Is so much fun! Especially with exciting freshman like you that want to explore and make new friends. There is no curfew so feel free to be out as long as you'd like, just make sure you have enough sleep for class in the morning!
Academic Rigor Academics there are amazing. Since it is a small campus, the professors are really there for you. If your a freshman, surprisingly the upperclassmen help you a whole lot of classes as well as campus life.
Tips for prospective students Always arrive on time! If your a minute late, the professors will fail you for the whole year! Don't pack too much for dorms, our dorms are spacious but its not a hotel.
In three sentences Beautiful campus, nice and small so that its not too overwhelming with too many buildings. People are very friendly and supportive of each other. Variety of people and no race discrimination of any kind, very welcoming.

Categories Comments What to do for fun I mostly go to the local beaches, Hilton head and sometimes Tybee. If you have friends or can find a group of people to hang with, there are plenty of things to do.
Food and Dining There needs to be more food selections on campus and the food is not worth the price. I eat off campus because its wallet friendly and I have more of a selection.
Dorm Life I wouldn't know, I live off campus. But I haven't heard anything bad about dorm life. I walk past the dorms and they look very nice! I would live there if I was younger.
Academic Rigor I would say this school is challenging and the competition is high to get into the program of your dreams.
Tips for prospective students Visit the campus, walk around and ask questions. Also read the professor reviews, they have been pretty accurate for me!
In three sentences Armstrong is the third university I have been to and it is my favorite. My first two schools were larger universities, but Armstrong is the perfect size. I even love the staff/ faculty because they don't make you feel like one of a million students they see everyday.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus is very safe. Never any crime, or harm and the campus police are always nearby to help.
Greek Life There are 10 Greek organizations on the Campus. Four big name organizations are Alpha Sigma Tau, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Kappa Sigma. They are a close family but have a lot of issues with all about them. If it isn't going to benefit their organization then they are not interested in participating. If you are a freshman, DO NOT RUSH. Wait a year, make friends through other clubs and your classes. It will get in the way of your grades and you will change your priorities to be only about that organization. Not good if you are trying to get an education and not just fake friends out of your college experience.
Clubs and Activities Campus Union Board and the Rec department put on lots of fun activites throughout the year. Most of them are free. The Astronomy club and the local sea turtle club is cool, also being apart of the Savannah Animal Shelter.
Great for these types of students If you like medium sized schools where you see a new person and a familiar person everyday. If education and beach location is important to you, If you love Savannah more than life itself this is your school. As cool as SCAD just not as many hipsters.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The back to school bash in august on tybee is the best. You get freed food, free stuff and get to meet all the fresh meat on campus. The International Garden is the most relaxing place on campus, perfect for quiet meditation or lunch with friends. The front porch in The Student Union is really nice on a sunny day. Just sit up there and study in your rocking chair. The new Student Center is really cool and very high tech. Perfect for group study sessions. The Art Gallery is also a nice place to get away and stare at cool art done by fellow students.
Bang for the buck Armstrong is a two year campus for sure, if they do not improve the lack of accommodation for commuter students they will continue to loose more and more students after their second year.
What to do for fun Since it is a dry campus you can't drink, but there are always things going on from the CUB and the Rec department. Lots of clubs to join, and the Greek life is small but promising. It is like a tight nit family.
Food and Dining There is lots of room for improvement for the Galley's menu. Too fating, not enough fresh, healthy allergy friendly options.
Dorm Life Living in Windward Commons is the worst. The RA's treat you like you are 5 years old. It is basically a prison. Compass Point is okay, pretty dirty though.
Academic Rigor The Professors are definitely difficult. All of the classes are challenging and makes you think. Your grades are not going to be handed to you but they earned.
Tips for prospective students Don't eat too much of the Galley food, it will make you gain a lot of weight. Make sure your Financial Aid is in order, dealing with that department is a big hassle. Get involved on Campus it makes the experience richer.
In three sentences Armstrong Atlantic State University overall is a pleasant school. The size isn't too big and isn't too small. The professors are caring and truly concerned with your success.

Categories Comments Campus Safety One can actually feel safe on campus. If you are out late and don't want to walk alone a security will escort you. They are really tough on not having parking decals or parking in the wrong sports but that's just their job.
Clubs and Activities There are a lot of clubs that one can join on campus. If there isn't one you like, you can start your own and get people involved in it. All clubs hold activities and no club is exclusive, every one is welcome.
What to do for fun Go to the beach! Although it isn't right around the corner, its a 25-30 minutes of a drive. Students drive out to Tybee Island to have fun with friends. Go for a walk at Forsyth Park located downtown or spend a day downtown on river street & city market with friends. On campus, participate on the many events held by different organizations. In October we celebrate Armstrong Day (celebrate) which is a lot of activities outside in the student lawn. There is free food, free prizes, free t-shirts and even a mechanical bull. Whatever the event is on school, its always guaranteed to have you meet and make new friends.
Food and Dining The food has started to slowly get better. The cafeteria food, I wouldn't really recommend, however the food court has quizno's and wing zone which is recommended. Even commuter students stay on campus to eat there. Also there is the pantry which has pre-made sandwiches, salads, etc and the perk which serves Starbucks.
Dorm Life There are a lot of events for school residents held by housing. Participate in events held by housing or the university, you will meet new people.
Academic Rigor Although I'm sure there are professors there who don't put their all into their work the ones that I've had have been great. They challenge you with work, essays, presentations and exams. Most people think that because its a small college it is easy, but it is hard. Students are challenged every day.
Tips for prospective students Communicate with your professors, they will always be willing to help. Use the facilities available, tutoring services, writing center, etc when needed. Become involved in recognized student organizations and gain leadership roles.Don't procrastinate on anything, as students we do that a lot but its better to avoid it. Over all, don't stress out too much. Armstrong is a great school & you'll love it! It is small and that is what makes it better and easier for communication and meeting people.
In three sentences Armstrong is a much better school than I anticipated. It's a small college but it has a lot of activities going on year long. There are a lot of opportunities for leadership within the school.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Armstrong is a little on the expensive side, it's not really worth it unless you going for a certain degree.
What to do for fun There's not much to do in Savannah, it's more of a retirement city. Though I do like to go downtown and Tybee Island.
Food and Dining I buy my own groceries, I don't rely on the school's dinning facility.
Dorm Life I have my own apartment. Though from what I hear the dorms are pretty nice.
Academic Rigor I was in the IB program, as long as you do your work in a timely manner, you'll be fine.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you make friends with someone in your class, even if talking to people makes you uncomfortable. It's a necessity.
In three sentences The student environment is business like, the professors are competent and helpful for the most part. It's definitely a safe 'first-year', there's not much trouble to get into.

Great for these types of students The university is great for students/people who love nature and like to be outdoors There are many places to just sit and look at the flowers and the scenery.

Bang for the buck Telfair museum $5 day passes for students, the parks always has vendors and events. Just check with the ticket office for details about what is going on. Categories Comments What to do for fun This college isn't terribly exciting, so you have to go off campus to look for fun. The beach is only 20/30 minutes away, and there's malls and stores all within a few minutes of the school.
Food and Dining Galley, Pantry, Perk, and MCC are the four options on campus. The galley is open reasonable hours each day, as well as the Pantry. The perk is simply a coffee shop, but I'm sure students would appreciate if that was open on the weekend. The food in the MCC also should be open on the weekend.
Dorm Life I think the dorms are a blast! But some people are not disciplined as they should be.
Academic Rigor Most of the stuff is fairly do-able, but there is far too much of a pile-up sometimes.
Tips for prospective students Try to get as many scholarships and aid you can, look for friends, be friendly, keep on top of your work.

Categories Comments Campus Safety From what Ive seen and witnessed, the campus is very safe. Some strict rules are enforced but its good for the long run. 9 out of 10
Clubs and Activities Many clubs and activities concerning your attitude and hobbies. From tennis and basketball courts, to scubba diving and snorkeling. The choice is yours. 8 out of 10
Great for these types of students There are very friendly and helpful people around you. I mean you all attend this school, so might as well lend out a helping hand to some new freshmen. I never thought I would be ready for this, coming from a small one red light town, to a huge city like Savannah. I felt like a fish out of water. But I met a few others that felt the same and we just help each other out.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Well, there is plently of walking to do. So get ready. Before I come onto the campus, I do some stretches before, to get my muscles ready to do a bit of walking. Weird? Yes, I know.
Bang for the buck College is very expensive. It takes a lot of your time and effort. But I believe if your dedicated and ready for a big step in life you can accomplish it quicker than you think. Scholarships and grants are a great ticket through. Try and stay away from loans until you very very much need them .
What to do for fun For fun.. Let me see. There is Tybee Island not too far away, take some time and just walk or swim on sunny warm days. A mall, actually two, to go in walk around and look for some new things to get yourself.
Food and Dining Once again, havent had the opportunity to spend time in the main Armstrong facility to eat, but there are many places outside of the school to eat. Either your choice of fast food, or an actual sit down and eat type of thing.
Dorm Life I personally have no lived in the dorms, so I would not know what to say. But i heard it was a great place to start out at.
Academic Rigor Dedication to college is important, in many ways. It helps to stay on the fast track, but to take your time while completing your courses of study.

Dorm Life The dorms are very spacious and nice. It almost feels like staying at a hotel for an extended period.

Food and Dining I like the food, but it can get boring.
Dorm Life Nice rooms, horrible upstairs neighbors. The free laundry is amazing compared to what friends at other universities have to pay.
Academic Rigor Depending on the class, some covered material more quickly. No professor went to fast for students to be able to absorb the material, nor did any professor go so slow as to make it boring.
Tips for prospective students Study. Ask for help. If you are too shy to do so in class, ask a classmate or go in to office hours. Join at least one club. At the beginning of the year I felt isolated, but as I met people through more school activities I had more fun.

What to do for fun They celebrate Armstrong day it was extremely fun with bull riding, balloon-popping, pie smashing, dancing, relay races, and much more.
Food and Dining The food is the same so be prepared to call to the diner to put in a special request. Sometimes the rice is undone, the soup is too salty, the desserts seem like they are kept forever because they are stiff or dry, and the salad bar is the same. The best time to eat is Noon to 3 o'clock because the faculty and staff eats.
Dorm Life It is very quite on campus. The campus police are very helpful. The washroom don't have enough washing machines are dryers. They are constantly out of order. Be careful where you park because they have people walking around to deliver tickets.
Academic Rigor Study like crazy but make sure you balance yourself so you won't tire yourself out.
Tips for prospective students Get in as early as possible to make sure all documents are received at the appropriate time. In three sentences The campus is beautiful with a variety of plants, trees, and building structure. It is very diverse with different ethnicity and nationality. The faculty and staff are wonderful; all you have to do is ask and the question will be answered.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Armstrong is a very safe campus; rarely anything serious happens. The campus is located in a relatively safe area in savannah so you can take midnight strolls on campus and feel completely safe.
Great for these types of students Armstrong has strong programs in liberal arts, science and technology, and nursing, so anyone interested in those areas should check out armstrong's programs.
Bang for the buck If you are physically active as well as loving to learn, Armstrong is a great school for you.
What to do for fun Armstrong offers a variety of things to do itself, and if you aren't interesting in anything going on on campus, you can always explore savannah.
Food and Dining The food and dining are horrible.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice- the apartment like ones mainly. Instant hot water, private rooms, and it takes no more than 20 minutes to get to class.
Academic Rigor Academics at Armstrong are challenging but not extremely difficult. It all depends on the person; how they learn, how they study, and how they manage their time.
Tips for prospective students If accepted into Armstrong, attend. It's a wonderful university. Although it may not offer everything, but what they do; they're very good at it.
In three sentences Armstrong is a quiet, and relatively small campus. It is beautiful and offers great academics, sports, recreation, and other activities. The professors are great and very understanding.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Police is very helpful and nice.
Greek Life Greek life is okay. I only see four or so Greek groups on campus here and there.
Clubs and Activities Lots of activities and the clubs are cool. You can't miss an activity on campus because you see signs and chalk everywhere to notify you, with an occasional email as well.
Great for these types of students Those who like close-knit relations. Don't want to feel like a number. Like one on one time with the professor.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Gazebo in the middle of the dorms is a hotspot, especially during the warmer days. There or the steps near the Student Union where I like to just sit out and enjoy the suns rays.
Bang for the buck You get your money's worth.
What to do for fun Usually there's an event going on once every two weeks or so. And the Recreation Center host lots of fun activities like Skydiving and Canoeing. Plus the Clubhouse is always lively with pool and ping pong.
Food and Dining The pizza and fries are the best. There are a variety of meals to choose from. The sandwich bar is really awesome as well.
Dorm Life Dorm Life is great. I found my best friends in the dorms. The Housing Staff is very helpful when issues arrive and the Multipurpose Room is a great place to hang out if you're looking for new friends.
Academic Rigor I'm receiving the education I expected.
Tips for prospective students Study hard, but make sure to enjoy the city around you. Savannah is a beautiful place to live.
In three sentences Armstrong is a magnificent school, located in a beautiful city. There are lots of friendly people that are willing to go there. I wouldn't change my decision for the world.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Your education cannot have a price tag put on it. Every dollar and dime you spend at Armstrong is worth it for the amazing faculty and staff, campus, and resources. Nonetheless, tuition and fees are very reasonable, and there are numerous resources offered by the Financial Aide office to get you on track.
Academic Rigor College is naturally going to be challenging at times; however, Armstrong's professors are ready and willing to answer any questions or concerns. Homework can be strenuous at times, but you can never find out what your capable of until you push yourself. The satisfaction you feel when you get an A is worth every hour spent studying.
Tips for prospective students Always, always, always keep an open mind. College is a time of change and growth. Whether it is a random stranger on campus or a favorite teacher, each has something to offer to you if you take the time to listen. Each day offers new opportunities in hidden places, so never shy away from something because you are unfamiliar--you just might find something you like.
In three sentences No matter where you are from, who you are, or what you intend to do, Armstrong feels like home. Imagine a community bursting with life and opportunity for students of all ages. Armstrong is equipped with professors and resources to help you excel not only in academics but in all aspects of life.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I've never seen or heard of any kind of violence or theft around campus. Campus Police are everywhere, all the time, and are very helpful and friendly.
Clubs and Activities It really depends on your major. Some departments are WAY larger than others, so have more clubs to choose from. The smaller departments don't have as many options, but if you are a leader, you can help organize new groups and student activities.
Great for these types of students Willing to work hard, enjoy small class sizes, and friendly atmosphere.
Food and Dining I've never been to the Galley (cafeteria), but I think the meals are way overpriced. We have a Quiznos and World of Wings (chicken fingers, subs, fries, etc.) as well. You can't eat at either place for less than $7, normally.
Dorm Life I've never lived on campus, so can't comment.
Academic Rigor It depends on your major. I'm a senior, and I have honestly found more of a challenge in my core classes. I have learned A LOT in those classes, and have wanted to change my major every time I've finished a core class, because they were so great! The teachers are very knowledgeable and expect excellence from their students. There are MANY tutoring opportunities on campus as well.
Tips for prospective students Smaller universities tend to specialize in certain things. Armstrong, for example, has a strong history in the Liberal Arts and Nursing programs. Their Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, and Math programs are also very reputable. Do your research before you decide. Some of the smaller departments are less organized and can leave you lacking a sense of confidence in your education, if you do not go above and beyond the classroom.
In three sentences GET INVOLVED! Join clubs, go to events, talk to your classmates and professors, and ASK QUESTIONS! Get lost a time or two, and definitely take advantage of our great fitness center!!

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are cops patrolling the school at all hours. There are also street lamps so if you're walking back to the dorms at night you don't feel so alone.
Great for these types of students They want a warm climate and small classes. People who like for their teacher to know their name.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I'm not sure if I've encountered an unusual tradition or location on campus yet, but I'll be sure to find out. I know there are a lot of cats that live on the campus.
Bang for the buck I liked that tuition was based on the number of classes you took. I couldn't attend the college I wanted because tuition was a set price and that price was too high. So I took as many classes as the budget would allow.
What to do for fun There's always something to do in Savannah, and usually there's something to do on campus. Whether you're playing sports or want to go downtown for some retail therapy, Savannah has it all.
Food and Dining Food on campus is alright, but the mall is right down the street from campus, so you have the food court there. You also have several restaurants across the street from campus in this little strip so it's not like you're gonna starve.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice, and generally clean. People can get loud and rowdy, but that's college for you.
Academic Rigor For me, it isn't really that difficult, but this semester is my easy semester so I guess I can't really complain. It's nice, but challenging in a way that you can feel yourself growing academically. But it's not so over your head that you're going to be lost.
Tips for prospective students Buy lots of shorts and tank tops because it gets hot down here in Georgia. If you're signing up for classes, get it done as soon as you possibly can, you don't want to get stuck with classes that don't do anything for you. Try to come on campus before school starts to get your pirate card, parking pass, and books, because there will be a line, and I mean a huge line.
In three sentences Perfect for people who enjoy a smaller campus and warm weather. It has everything a student could need on a large campus, but it's smaller because there are less classrooms. The class sizes are small, it's almost like you're in high school again which makes the environment a lot more suitable for those of us who can't deal with a large crowd.

Dorm Life The dorms are very nice and relatively new. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the person above you walking around.
Academic Rigor All the professors I have had are extremely knowledgeable, especially since the majority of them have a doctorate degree. The classes are very challenging for the most part.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to ask upperclassmen about the professors you have before the first day of class so you know what to expect.
In three sentences The professors are great! There is an awesome campus life with greek organizations and clubs for all interests.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The police station is open 24/7. If you ever need anything they are here to help you. If you don't want to walk to your car in the dark by yourself, give them a call and they will bring an officer to escort you to your destination! The police are constantly patrolling the campus and you feel secure here. People watch out for one another and make sure you are in the best enviorment possible.
Greek Life I love Armstrong's Greek life! As a Greek myself I cannot express how much I enjoy it here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The Greeks on campus are driven and well educated. They are constantly involved in activities around campus and striving to foster community spirit!
Clubs and Activities There are so many organizations you can get involved in on Armstrong's campus. Intramural sports, Greek life, CUB, SGA, HOLA, and more. There are flyers up all over the place advertising things to do. There are always group classes at the gym and there is always something going on each week here to attend and take part in.
Great for these types of students Anyone! Liberal and Conservatives alike! Armstrong is a conglomeration of peoples and is completely worth every dime you put into the process.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are many niches and corners on campus to check out. One of my favorite places in the dirt path behind Ashmore or the International Garden between Solms and Hawes Halls! The bike path behind Winward is very peaceful. I also suggest walking around the campus and seeing what you can discover here at Armstrong!
Bang for the buck You will pay a little more money here than at other traditional schools but it is completely worth it! The faculty is great and the students are amazing. You will get so much out of your education here!
What to do for fun There is always something going on at Armstrong. Intramurals start up and last throughout the year. Get involved. Don't be a humbug in your dorm all the time. There is a fitness course behind Winward. The Gym is open til 11. The theatre is constantly having shows and musical performances. Clubs on campus are consistantly bringing new things to student life! There is a run/jog/bike path around the school as well!
Food and Dining Galley food is very convenient. There is always a variety of food including a salad bar, soups of the day, hamburgers, pizza, entree of the day. sanwhich station, cereal bar and dessert bar. It is all you can eat but you cannot have take out. There is also World of Wings and Quiznos on campus. There is also a Starbucks right outside of the Galley.
Dorm Life The RAs are very nice and constantly keeping you informed about things on campus. Do remember to have command stips or yellow poster putty, the blue poster putty leaves stains on the walls and you can be charged for that! Make a connection with your roommate! Don't be that kid who has to go through roommate counseling because you hate your roomie. Do bring a fan if you get hot, summer months (August and September, April and May) are VERY warm. Do bring tons of hangers and have storage totes to place things you don't regularly use in. Do find an extra long shower curtain or an extra curtain rod and regular shower curtain. The rod height in winward is higher than average and if you don't have the curtain/rod combo or an XL shower curtain-your floor will get soaking wet. Do remember to bring all the comforts of home with you! Remember to take your pirate card and keys everywhere. EVERYWHERE. It's how you get back into Winward.
Academic Rigor Study, Study, Study!!! Challenging enough to make you want to learn but not too hard where you're forced to drop classes!
Tips for prospective students Complete your FAFSA and financial aid information as early as possible so that you are not scrambling to get everything together. If you are moving into a dorm, bring EVERYTHING you think you will need and a few things you think you might not need. They give you a microwave to use in Winward Commons (freshman housing), so if you enjoy those top ramen noodles I suggest stocking up before you come. Yes, you need to bring the things for a proper education as well. Anything you need to study with or to complete projects! Always park in the correct parking lots and use the library as much as possible-they are open til 11 most nights!
In three sentences Armstrong has a big campus feel on a small campus scale. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're home. Everyone has a sense of community and belonging.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is always a cop car patroling the parking lots and roads. Easy access emergency phones are all over the campus and their phone number is on almost every billboard.
Greek Life Many sororities to join and they do lots of activities.
Bang for the buck Good education comes at a price and In-state tuition is pretty resonable.
What to do for fun There are great activities like beach parties and clubs. The sororities usually have something to do. There are plays performed by students every semester and of course there are activities off campus as well.
Food and Dining The Galley (cafeteria) always has a variety of foods to try, like tomato and spinach pizza or a simple cheeseburger. If the Galley doesn't do the job, there's a Quiznos, a Wings cafe and a little convenience store called the Pantry. Amazing food to try here.
Dorm Life Simple living apartments and well kept. Freshman-only dorms are new and very nice.
Academic Rigor The English classes work your brain and the math classes are just as tough, but they are fun. The teachers work hard to get you at your best and are able to spend extra time with the students if needed.
Tips for prospective students Get on top of your work! The pace in freshman year picks up quick and you need to be prepared. Its a lot to take on and the English classes are work-hardy.
In three sentences It is a beautiful campus; the groundskeeper is amazing and has planted flowers and plants from around the world. The class sizes are are small and teachers can take care of each students. It still has flaws like any other collegend that is from the students that are there.

Categories Comments What to do for fun The beach is thirty minutes to an hour away, depending on traffic, and you have River Street to go dine at.
Food and Dining It is very easy to get tired of the food here. You don't have many choices to choose from for the restaurants because the Galley makes the same thing everyday and the two restaurants on campus are very expensive. It's cheaper to eat off campus than on.
Dorm Life Windward Commons is the freshman housing. My only complaint with Windward is the wifi and how it doesn't work at all times.
Academic Rigor The teachers at Armstrong are willing to help you as long as you ask. Ben if your specific teacher isn't willing to help you, there are other sources and help who will be there to help you with anything. The Writing Center is also a big help on campus an it's free! Take advantage of all sources that are provided to you.
Tips for prospective students Thought Armstrong is a good school, the financial aid department isn't the best so you will have a lot to figure out on your own. Begin early with filling out your FASFA and go for as many scholarships as you can. Once you're I'm school continue to try your hardest on your school work and don't let the freedom get the best of you.
In three sentences Armstrong is an amazing school to go to begin your college life. The campus is very easy to navigate and there are activities to keep you involved. Armstrong also has an amazing staff that is always willing to help you with whatever you need, no matter if it regards school or not.

Great for these types of students Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences.
Food and Dining I usually eat off campus, so I cannot comment on food at Armstrong either.
Dorm Life I drive to school each day that I have classes, so I cannot comment on Dorms here.
Academic Rigor Don't underestimate any classes. Each class is challenging in it's own way and work load varies from course to course. As an engineering major, the workload is substantial and a lot of studying is required.
Tips for prospective students Go to class, study, and do all of the homework.
In three sentences Armstrong is a great college to attend! All of the professors and faculty are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate on the subjects that they teach. The campus is clean and well maintained; and classes are small enough so each professor will learn who you are.

Greek Life Greek is the way to be. AASU has many Greek life sorortiy and fraternity groups to join!
Food and Dining The food and dining at AASU are very conveninent for students and are always open for student to go whenever they have a break from class. The servers and cooks are very friendly and always have a smile.
Dorm Life I have never lived on campus. However, I have friends that do and I have heard only positive things from the dorms and the people who maintain them.
Academic Rigor The academics at AASU are great! The professors on staff are very helpful and push you for a better outcome in your carreer.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is a blurb in the student paper every week with a list of campus police reports. Its usually someone keeping an unauthorized guest or parking violations.
Greek Life There is no Greek housing for members. Also, the frats and sororities are fairly small.
Clubs and Activities The Recreation and Wellness center sponsors events almost weekly like sky diving, white water rafting, beach-side bike rides, and canoe trips. There is also a monthly Open Mic night where students display talents. A newsletter comes out monthly stuffed with housing, rec center, student activities board, Greek, and student gov sponsored events. The student paper, the Inkwell is a good way to find out whats going on off campus as well.
Great for these types of students Armstrong is great for people returning to school. There is a 65+ program for seniors, online courses for working parents, and I have attended several classes in which parents brought their children to class and were not asked to leave (unfortunately.) Also classes are available late so if you work and go to school you still have options.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus This is a tobacco free campus. There used to be designated smoking areas, but they were not honored and now, the campaign for clean air is upon us! Breathe easy.
Bang for the buck Tuition is relatively inexpensive. For your money you get the classes, gym and pool membership, access to computer labs, and tutoring center.
Food and Dining There are always burgers and pizza in the dining hall. Veggie burgers are available but they is usually served reluctantly, I have personally had to argue with the grill cook for one. As a vegetarian, I feel that the options are less than stellar. Most of the vegetarian dishes are almost completely cheese and that entree sits under the lamp for most of the dining period without being replaced with a fresh one. There is always the salad bar though!
Dorm Life In my personal experience, I lived in a dorm in which the internet and air conditioning did not work most of the time. It can take up to two weeks to have your maintenance requests filled. *Check your move in form thoroughly when you move in. You are given a checklist on which everything has been marked as satisfactory regardless of its condition. If you do not report that broken closet door or missing bathroom vent cover you will be held responsible when they do a residence hall specific room inspection.
Academic Rigor Some courses are fluff, I can tell you from my experience as a Computer Science major that the science core coursework is tough. There's a program called the Georgia Tech Alliance in which engineering students complete their core coursework at AASU then transfer to Ga Tech, it's tough so you will be prepared.
Tips for prospective students Use your meal plan; you've already paid for it. But if you prefer it, there is a grocery store right beside the Armstrong Center. Bring a vehicle if you have one, even a bicycle is better than nothing. I bought a bike my first semester and it helped a lot with groceries.
In three sentences Armstrong is a small school with a beautiful campus farther away from the mossy trees and historic buildings than Savannah Tech or SCAD because it's on the Southside. You're classes are usually between 20-50 people ( the lower level math courses are large) so you can meet professors face to face.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The cops are everywhere and are always patrolling, there is a big police force for our small campus.
Greek Life Small
Clubs and Activities There isn't much Greek life, and the clubs are limited.
Great for these types of students Military dependent and active duty, engineering students, hispanic/latino students, those studying music.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are NONE.
What to do for fun Explore Savannah, hang out with friends, there is a skatepark near the school and there are even multiple MMA and martial gyms near the school. There is a bowling alley down the road that offers free bowling for students. The school is also near a military base, so if you are a military dependent or member of the armed forces you are able to go to base and use services there.
Food and Dining The Galley isn't the best place, and it's decent AT TIMES. They recently scored a health rating of 67 so I'll let you decide.
Dorm Life I lived in Winward Commons, and it wasn't the best. The cleaning staff doesn't do much of a good job when mopping in the morning and cause the dorm to smell of rotten sewage. The rooms tend to get very hot and the wireless internet is horrible.
Academic Rigor It all really depends on who you have, some professors make it easy and some just make it more difficult.
Tips for prospective students Be sure to park in the designated parking areas depending on your decal. Do your research when purchasing books, because sometimes the school bookstore might actually have your book cheaper. When selling books, the school book store may also give a better return. If living on campus, Compass Point seems to be the best living community for the money due to its location.
In three sentences The school is a small university. It is growing every semester. It is military-friendly.

Categories Comments Food and Dining The food is not horrible, but you can get tired of eating the same things everyday. The breakfast is good, but the lunch and dinner can get old after awhile.
Dorm Life I do not stay on campus at Armstrong Atlantic State University, but I have been in the dorms. Dorm life can be fun and exciting as long as you manage your time wisely. People in the dorms are nice and it could take a couple of days to adjust to living in a dorm
Academic Rigor Like any college there can be challenges when it comes to classes, grades, and professors. If a person is really serious about their future and education they will strive to study and make the grades they need, Being a college student myself, academics can be struggling, but once I put my mind to anything I can accomplish it.
Tips for prospective students The tips that I have for prospective students are to always attend every class. They also need to have all their textbooks in a timely manner and make sure all their bills are payed on time. Last but not least review every syllabus that a professor gives you.

Categories Comments Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Hidden Garden is a nice are. Has a shaded sitting and small water fall.
Bang for the buck There's a few general fees that have no explanation.
What to do for fun Enjoy an event on campus. There's nearly an event every week.
Food and Dining Poor quality and expensive. Their health score has fallen below a 90 a couple of times. They do have a variety of foods but I can be a picky eater. There's one 1 place you can use your meal plan swipes at. The other 3 locations you have to use Pirate's Cash. (Pirate's cash is the money on your card that comes with your meal plan and can only be spent on campus)
Dorm Life Overall nice but can be very expensive.
Academic Rigor There shouldn't be an excuse to fail. If you cannot handle the teacher's teaching style, drop the class before it's too late or ask the teacher for recommendation to studying styles.
Tips for prospective students 1) Complete FASFA early. 2) Take advantage of the international scene and experience. 3) Utilize the free services and events. 4) Don't be antisocial. 5) DON'T PROCRASTINATE! With anything!
In three sentences They were excellent when I first came here because they were different from other school, but they are slowly trying to transition. With the transition they are becoming more expensive and just like other schools. I think they're expanding physically before mentally.

And you can even stop by their precinct just to say hello.
Greek Life Armstrong has a wide variety of Greek life. From the ever famous sororities and fraternities to newer sororities and fraternities. Greeks even create events for you to get to know about their group and how you can join.
Clubs and Activities I'm a member of the Peer Financial Counseling group on campus and it is wonderful! I won a $500 scholarship the first semester I joined and learned a lot about being financially fit. Armstrong has a ton of clubs and activities where anyone can find their perfect fit!
Great for these types of students If you're the outgoing type who likes to explore a lot, this school is for you! If you're the introvert who likes a more intimate setting, this school is for you!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I heard that if you dress up as a pirate on Pirate Day, you'll be successful when you graduate. . . actually, I never heard that.
Bang for the buck The bookstore has sales during the semesters for students wanting to purchase Armstrong apparel. There's also a bookstore located across the street that sells textbooks for a cheaper price. Also, for errands you have to run during the day, it's cheaper to take public transit. $3 gets you unlimited rides anywhere around Savannah.
What to do for fun Open Mic nights, sporting events, and exploring the campus are just average things on our campus. You can go to the gym, hang out with friends, or sit out on the lawn and catch some rays. If hanging on campus isn't your thing, grab a couple of friends and head to the historic downtown area. There's never a dull moment!
Food and Dining The dining hall offers biodegradable cups and take-out plates for students on the move and a great hang out place for students wanting to get a bite to eat. You also have the option of getting groceries at the Pirates Pantry, getting your coffee fix at The Perk, or getting some fast food from Quiznos or World of Wings! The Quiznos and World of Wings dining area has plasma TV's mounted on the walls so you can watch while you eat!
Dorm Life Because Armstrong is more of a commuter school, dorm life is only about 1/7 of Armstrong's entire student population. Students in Windward Commons, the freshman housing, are more likely to benefit from the dorm living experience. Their quarters resemble a hotel-styled living space. They are more likely to interact with their peers. The rest of the housing community resembles apartment style housing, which makes interacting with others a little more difficult. Overall, the weekly housing activities keeps the dorm life entertaining and fun.
Academic Rigor Armstrong makes you work hard for your desired grade. We aren't on the Plus or Minus grading system so getting an 89 puts you in the same boat as a person with an 80. I highly recommend you get to know your teachers as the semester begins. Utilize the office hours and make sure the teacher knows your name. Now if you earn an 89 in the class, you're more likely to receive a 90 and get closer to a 4.0!
Tips for prospective students Don't expect to come to this university and party all the time. Slacking is definitely not an option. Balance your school work and social life by completing your schoolwork first and you'll be fine! Also, pack a lot of beach towels. We're 45 minutes away from Tybee Island!
In three sentences Armstrong is a quiet university with a diverse student body. My school takes pride in the environmental friendly environment by using eco-friendly materials and preserving the mini-gardens we have on campus. Armstrong also is the home of the Peach Belt Champions!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Armstrong police are constantly patrolling campus. Safety is not an issue.
Greek Life Greek Life is small but a great experience There are about 6 different Greek organizations to choose from.
Clubs and Activities Several student organizations and clubs to join.
Great for these types of students AASU great place for the student who has never really been away from home and is ready to start the transition of independence.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus NONE
Bang for the buck Armstrong is not a bad school. The campus and student body are growing each year. The academic standards are high, but obtainable. Greek life is not that big but definitely a great aspect. AASU also has a great Tennis team and girls softball team.
What to do for fun The gym is a good place to go. I also hang out in the student union (where the cafeteria is located) with friends. Or participate in the weekly activities that Armstrong has going on for that week.
Food and Dining Food in the Galley is not great. I recommend the wrap station. Every now and again there will be good food but it is not the best. The breakfast actually is not that bad. AASU also has a Wings and Quiznos
Dorm Life Dorm life is an awesome experience for some not all. I enjoyed dorm life. I happen to live with my fraternity brothers, and friends. It is great for study sessions. The dorms are not huge but, it is just supposed to be a place for you to eat, sleep, study, and repeat.
Academic Rigor Academics are challenging but obtainable. If you do not study and or do not apply yourself, you will not do well. Like many things in life, for good grades you will have to work for them. Armstrong is usually easy to get admission but, not everyone applies themselves as much as they should causing them to fail. Academics are well known at Armstrong. Easy to get in, hard to stay in is what you usually hear.
Tips for prospective students Go to class, Participate in student life, study, and do not procrastinate.
In three sentences Armstrong is growing in size and making a name for itself on the map. Armstrong has impressive academics, great student life, and convenience of great location. Armstrong is a great place to start off your education.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Armstrong's great for any type of student., especially those looking to have small classes. Non-traditional students will do really well because Armstrong has many programs and options to work with them. But if you're looking to go to a big school, then I wouldnt' suggest this college for you.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Not that I know of.
Bang for the buck The price of Armstrong is good and every penny is worth it for the education you get here.
What to do for fun There's always something to do on campus. Savannah Mall and some movie theaters are less than 10 minutes away from school if you feel like doing something off campus.
Food and Dining The food is pretty good. The Galley is the main cafeteria and has a variety of food to select from. If you want a quick treat, you can always stop by the Perk or Pirate's Pantry for coffee on the go or something to munch on between classes. IF you want to eat somewhere else besides the Galley, WOW cafe and Quiznos are good places to check out. It's a little pricey, but worth it.
Dorm Life Personally, I don't live on campus but I've heard they are really nice.
Academic Rigor STUDY! The classes you take are no joke. Professor's expect you to come to class prepared for the day, whether it includes writing up a paper, giving an oral presentation, or reading for the next day. If you have an emergency or a reason you absolutely must miss class, most teachers are willing to work with you.
Tips for prospective students Don't be afraid to try new things and get involved on campus! It's a great way to meet people, especially if you are new to Armstrong or Savannah in general. There are many organizations, volunteer opportunities, sports teams, religious groups and more to find friends.
In three sentences Armstrong's a great school for students looking to get their education at a small university. The classes are small enough so that you won't feel like nothing but a number to the professors. They are nice and want you to succeed, so they are always ready to help and answer questions if you have any.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Safety is the top in the nation,no problems with safety. very safe school.
Greek Life There is not a big greek life
Great for these types of students very quiet, strickly here for school, not a hard school but hard if you make it that way.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is no football team,so no big homecoming or anything.
What to do for fun Not much to do on campus you have to explore other schools such as scad or savannah state for a little fun,
Food and Dining The food gets old real quick, but that's anywhere.
Dorm Life A lot of rules around exam time.
Tips for prospective students Know what you are getting into before you dive in head first. Always keep up with your fin aid throughout the year at least once a month. To know what's going on
In three sentences Hot climate. Great Academics. The student life is awful.

Categories Comments Campus Safety College cops are always around and they're really friendly. They're always available at night if you need to walk somewhere (like to your car or back to your dorm). I definitely feel safe on campus all of the time.
Clubs and Activities I like the volunteer events, but I strongly dislike the sponsored events different clubs hold. They're usually tasteless and ghetto.
Great for these types of students Chill, focused, driven, and open minded.
Bang for the buck Like I said, a bit pricey.
What to do for fun It's not a big party school, but once you start getting to know the right people, there are a lot of neat little hangouts. Clubs are 21 and up too... so if you're big on those and underage, I recommend planning on going to GA Southern a lot.
Food and Dining Most of the cafeteria food is pretty mediocre if not tasteless/bad... so heads up. Also, the staff was generally rude. But hey, according to the AASU Dining Facebook page, they're working on it.
Dorm Life Windward Commons is kind of like living in a prison (quiet hours/RA's), but at least I was satisfied with the space I had in my Private Suite.
Academic Rigor Classes can be tough, but actually attending class, studying, getting your textbooks early, and going to the study labs they offer can help.
Tips for prospective students Pay attention, stay organized, and make time to go out and have fun so you don't go stir crazy.
In three sentences It's a gorgeous campus and easy to find where your classes are. So far I haven't had a single problem with professors, they're all super nice and easy to get along with. However, though I'm happy with the education I'm getting her, it's still a bit pricey even with financial aid.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The police are truly caring and genuine! They help out so much on campus and honestly I feel safer even though we are an open campus. You can call them at anytime for assistance and they will be there in less than 5 minutes. When its dark and your afraid to walk back to your room, call them and they will give you a lift free! They give classes on how to maintain your car, how to cook properly and they even bring animals on campus to show you how to properly handle them. The recently started this program that is similar to CSI, where you go around campus to figure who committed the crime!
Greek Life The Greek life isn't very lively but we do have a few sororities and fraternities on campus. You can check them out on the homepage under Student Life!
Clubs and Activities There are plenty and plenty and plenty of clubs on campus! They can also be found on Armstrong's homepage under Student Life! The best part about Armstrong is that if they do not have club you prefer or you would like to start your own you can!
Great for these types of students Armstrong is great for students who have lots of ambition and determination. While it is important for you to strive to be the best you can be, teachers and student will help you achieve that goal!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are a few arboretums and an international garden on campus, if you would like a quiet place to relax or study in between classes
Bang for the buck You may get your money's worth depending on the degree you are pursuing! like i said before the financial aid office can be a drag and you have to stay on top of it to get your aid! For the most part it is average tuition not to high and not to cheap.
What to do for fun There are numerous things to do around campus for students with cars and students without cars. There are plenty of things to do on campus as well! Open Mic Night, Volleyball games, Basketball games, Intramurals, and a few parties here ans there! Students with cars: You can visit Tybee Island, Visit downtown and the boardwalk (try the candy shop!!), Visit beautiful Hilton Head, South Carolina, or just simply drive around and sight see!! Students without cars: The Savannah mall is across the street from the school (which is a 5 minute walk), There are two movie theaters directly behind the movies The Regal and Carmike Cinemas. There is a bus system that operates throughout the city. The fare is $1.50 each way and the can take you basically all around Savannah. WARNING: If you are new to the area NEVER ride the bus alone, there is a 80% chance that you will become lost and not know where you are!!
Food and Dining The galley is average for the most part. They have their extremely good days, good days, and ewww days. They have a pizza bar, sandwich/wrap bar, salad, vegetarian bar, hot bar (which is food cooked fresh daily), a grill bar(for grilled cheese, hamburgers, quesadillas), and a dessert bar. We do have a WoW, Quiznos, StarBucks, and the Pirate Pantry on campus if you prefer not to eat in the Galley. The Pirate Pantry is like our little gas station!! They sell all the necessities that a college student would need.
Dorm Life The dorm life is great! Except for Windward Commons. I lived there last year and it is literally like a prison! No one under 17 can visit you, family or non family member, only one parent can sign in at a time, and no opposite sex after midnight. On the plus Windward is a BEAUTIFUL dorm, with nicely sized rooms, closets, and the multipurpose room is amazing. It has two TVs, sofas, and chairs. You can rent out Nintendo Wii, XBOX, and PlayStation's. There is also The Cove which is a smaller version of the multipurpose room, but with a ping pong table.
Academic Rigor The academics are tad more rigorous than a normal college, but Armstrong is the best!! The teachers help in ANY way possible if you put forth enough effort to learn the material. The classes are average size with roughly 24:1 ratio, and most classes are 50 min. long!!
Tips for prospective students You have to stay on top of financial aid!! This is the most gruesome part of Armstrong. You have to constantly call and email so that your financial aid counselor will process your aid quickly. Check in with your roommate! It is no fun moving in with a complete stranger! Get in touch with your future roommate and mingle!!
In three sentences Armstrong is a small school compared to the surrounding schools in Savannah, but the people on campus are very friendly, and will help the best that they can. Although the campus is small the numbers are BIG!! You will hardly see the same person twice in a day, but you will see them again so don't worry!!! This school is so amazing and I met true friends in my first year! My piece of advice embrace the campus and the campus will embrace you!

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus police do a great job keeping our campus safe.
Greek Life There are a lot of sororities. But there aren't that many fraternities. There are Pikes which is the only fraternity we have. The sororities have bake sells and fun campus activities
Clubs and Activities There is C.U.B for those who want to be apart of campus activities and there is S.G.A for those students who want to be apart of campus governing.
What to do for fun Downtown Savannah is very beautiful! It's great to go down there on the weekends. Savannah also have two malls: Oglethorpe and Savannah Mall. Savannah Mall is right across the street from campus.
Food and Dining Food at Armstrong isn't bad. I wish that they had more options instead of the usual pizza, fries, and sandwich wraps.
Dorm Life The campus life is interesting. They have all types of activities that will interest the student such as Open Mic, Crank that Caf and many more!
Tips for prospective students My tip for prospective students is to study hard! Don't get too far behind in your classes or you will be lost.
In three sentences Armstrong is a great school! They have good professors that are there to help you all the way. Besides school, Savannah has a lot of history behind it.

Categories Comments What to do for fun River Street has lots of local shops and bars. Savannah has the second largest party in the nation on every St. Patrick's Day.
Food and Dining Cafeteria was always below expectations (even when seemed impossible.) With the exception of campus tour days.
Dorm Life Freshmen dorms are horrible with the exception of laundry in the same building and common rooms with large flat screen TVs. Every dorm building besides Winward is apartment style with kitchen and bathroom with no more than 3 roommates to share them with.
Academic Rigor Most teachers are challenging. I have had few who weren't challenging enough.
Tips for prospective students Lot's of bug spray; the gnats will bite. Do not assume classes will be easy.
In three sentences Armstrong has mostly excellent teachers. Student population is diverse (and abrasive). Savannah is small town drama with 2 shopping malls (1 and a half really).

Categories Comments Campus Safety The Armstrong police department is 24hr/7. It's pretty safe. The only thing is is that it is an open campus, but nothing disturbing has happened to me since I've been there
Greek Life Armstrong has a few Greek organizations. They appeal to all kinds of people.
Clubs and Activities Armstrong has a wide variety of clubs
Great for these types of students All kinds of students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus At Armstrong we have Beach Bash every August. We go to Tybee Island grill out, and have fun
Bang for the buck Armstrong is not too expensive, but there are some expensive areas such as housing.
What to do for fun Armstrong has a variety of clubs such as sports clubs, academic club and social clubs. I would advise prospective students to join clubs
Food and Dining I rarely eat at the Galley (Armstrong cafeteria), but the food is okay when I do decide to attend
Dorm Life Dorms are okay, but a little too expensive for my liking.
Academic Rigor Nothing is too hard if you try.
Tips for prospective students Come prepared, and relax sometimes and enjoy the beautiful campus
In three sentences Armstrong Atlantic State University is a very well rounded university as far as university choices go. Armstrong provides a stimulating and nurturing environment for students to grow academically and socially. Armstrong has been a great place to attend thus far

Categories Comments Campus Safety Always police available on campus. They will even escort you from class to your car at night if you call them.
Greek Life Greek Life is completely rewarding. There really is an organization out there for anyone who is interested. As a member of the greek life at Armstrong, I have to say it is the best decision I have ever made. It is like a second family especially for those a long distance away from home. I will never regret being Greek. It provides so many networking, academic, community service, and social opportunities.
Clubs and Activities Armstrong provides many activities to get involved with including: Greek Life, Campus Union Board, Special interest clubs, clubs for majors, Intramurals, Athletics, Academic clubs, religious clubs, honors program, Student Government Association, and much more.
Great for these types of students Any and all students welcome to check it out! Great for medical majors but also great for liberal majors. Very diverse for everyone!
Bang for the buck Definitely great for the cost! Fantastic atmosphere and student life. Great education at a great price!
What to do for fun There is always something to do on campus. Hanging out with other students, Open Mic Night, Greek Week, Variety show, Greek recruitment, etc. Nearly all organizations have events that they throw on campus monthly.
Food and Dining This changes a lot at Armstrong. The Galley, the main cafeteria, is great because it's all you can eat and uses your meal plan. However, they do not provide much variety. The pantry, the conveince store, has many grab and go options for between classes. It requires use of flex dollars, cash, card, or Pirate's Cash. The newly renovated MCC Cafeteria houses the World of Wings cafe and a Quiznos subs. However, these two places (as of right now) do not support the use of meal plan; you must use your Pirate's Cash, flex dollars, cash, or card. Overall, the dining at Armstrong provides many different options that are all located in central campus for convenience.
Dorm Life Dorm life at Armstrong is very rewarding! You meet so many people and really are able to get fully immersed in campus life! My best times on campus were when I lived on campus for two years. The dorms are nice too. The new freshmen dorm was built in Fall 2010. There are many different options for on campus housing including two or four bedroom suite style apartments. Also, there are options in central campus and on the serene far ends of campus for less activity. Housing department is very considerate and takes maintenance seriously.
Academic Rigor Armstrong is a very challenging university. The professors genuinely care about your success and want to challenge you. Also, being a member of the honors program provides many academic opportunities such as field trips, special classes, and projects.
Tips for prospective students Get involved! Armstrong has many MANY clubs, organizations, and activities to get involved with. There is always something going on around campus.
In three sentences Great classes and professors. Amazing and beautiful historic Savannah. Small campus with a lot of heart.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This campus is very safe. If you do end up having something going missing immediately check lost & found at the police station or the building you may have lost the item in. Not much goes on Armstrong's campus for it to be unsafe for others.
Greek Life I am part of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Iota Tau chapter on the campus. Zeta has a lot to offer to anyone that is interested. Big suggestion: do your research, be discreet about what you want to do if it is a NPHC organization, and get acquainted with a few of the members in the organization without giving away your interest.
Clubs and Activities Being part of clubs are great. the Japanese Pop-culture Appreciation Club is a great place for those who are interested in the Japanese culture. There are plenty of interest clubs and then the other organizations on campus will show you what they can in order to test your interest.
Great for these types of students This campus is best for those who are there for a change of pace or are close to home and money is tight.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Every month we have an Open Mic Night in which we have random students who are brave enough to go on stage and perform for the campus whatever talent it is that they have. Sometimes we even get semi-celeb guest MC's to come and they sometimes put on little performances during the breaks in between the acts.
Bang for the buck Coming to Armstrong is definitely worth it. You pay for your best education so don't expect it to be easy.
What to do for fun There is a mall across the street and other little outlet stores to check out. We just recently got the local public transit to be attached with Armstrong for those who cannot drive and want to experience more than just across the street options.
Food and Dining The food isn't really all that good but the best part is that the dorms all have their own kitchens. So if you don't want to experience the food of the Galley (cafeteria) or the WOW/Quizno's area, you can always make your own meal in your dorm.
Dorm Life It's very lively after classes end. People are kind and enjoy entertaining others. You get your own personal space in your room but then you can also walk right out and down the hall in all the dorms to meet up with others for study groups game nights and other events around the dorms.
Academic Rigor The curriculum at Armstrong is one of the best. So be prepared to study and work hard in all your classes. This is just the beginning.
Tips for prospective students If you are coming here I suggest you take classes that will help your GPA but are also your prerequisites so you can get them out of the way in order to go straight into your major as soon as possible. Join clubs on the campus because that way you will meet other people who have the same ideas and similar personalities as you and be able to experience the social aspect of college life. Also check out the life around the town. Savannah has a lot to offer those who like to get out more often than others.
In three sentences Armstrong is a great place to go if you want to start over or get even your prerequisites out of the way in order to pursue what you want without the hassle of taking classes that aren't needed. I have enjoyed Armstrong to the fullest by recently becoming part of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Iota Tau Chapter and love the people that are on the campus. Everyone is pretty much friendly and willing to help others out on campus.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are always officers patrolling the parking lots! You can easily find one if a problem ever occurs, but the officers keep issues to a minimum.
Clubs and Activities There are a lot of clubs, including Greek life, offered at Armstrong. You can even find a full list of clubs and organizations on AASU's website. Many of the clubs, however, are Greek life or are for specific majors.
Great for these types of students Any types of student can easily find their niche here!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I love the fountain on campus. It offers great seating and gathering space and there are beautiful benches close-by.
Bang for the buck The fees are quite hefty but if you use everything that the fees cover then it is really worth it. If you don't take advantage of all the things your mandatory fees are covering then it seems like a waste of money. The fees cover a wide range of things from printing costs to using the gym, so make use of those. Also, the tuition compared to other schools is great! You're getting a quality education without breaking the bank.
What to do for fun The mall is across the street with a Target and Bass Pro plus restaurants and small shopping centers. The beach is about 40 minutes away. The school is always offering events for students and the campus itself is beautiful enough to sit around on the many benches surounded by nature.
Food and Dining Though I don't eat on campus very often, the food choices offered are great. Other than a Quizno's (the only one left in Savannah) and a Wing place, Armstrong has a cafeteria and a small store to purchase food from.
Dorm Life I do not live on campus but from what I have heard from students who do, the dorms are nice. Most often I hear that rent money is better spent on a nearby apartment for what you get in a dorm.
Academic Rigor Classes range from easy to challenging depending on your interests, really. If you ever run into any problems with a class or its' work, most professors are more than willing to help.
Tips for prospective students Financial Aid office is always two steps behind. Get financial aid taken care of as soon as possible!! Other than financial aid problems, Armstrong is great! There is a lot to do both on and off campus. Books can get a little pricey but Textbook Brokers (right across the street) keeps up with Armstrong's book list and books can be bought at great prices there.
In three sentences It's a beautiful campus with a lot to do nearby. The teachers are friendly and helpful. The classes are difficult enough without being impossible, with teachers willing to help.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are call boxes located around campus that can be used to contact campus police. They are also willing to walk you out to your car at night if you've stayed late.
What to do for fun There are many opportunities to have fun on campus. There is always something to get involved with be it clubs, sports, random other things, karaoke, and more.
Food and Dining The food hall has a delicious selection of food, all very well prepared. They also recently added a wing cafe that has excellent food as well.
Dorm Life The dorms are pleasant and have activities to do within them as well as decent living conditions.
Academic Rigor Armstrong has a very good academic program. Both the regular and honors systems are set up to help the student gain the best possible grade and understanding in the subject. It can, of course, vary with teachers however.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to find your classrooms before the first day, otherwise you'll be late for your class. Rating your professor choices online helps you make an informed decision about your classes. It can often make the difference between a pass and a fail. Interact with your classmates, college is supposed to be fun too.
In three sentences Located in a terrific setting, with a nearby beach, Armstrong has a relaxed atmosphere. It is a smaller campus, so everything is in walking distance. There are a smaller number of students while at the same time having great programs of study.

Categories Comments What to do for fun The beach is the main thing that highlights the Savannah area in general. You have Tybee Beach, Hilton Head, and various other beaches along the Georgia coast. They are all within reasonable driving distance of Armstrong's campus. Also you have downtown Savannah where you can do a lot of sightseeing and eating!
Food and Dining Dining services on Armstrong are sub-par in my opinion. After the first month you will become tired of the galley and want to eat elsewhere. Recently, Armstrong opened up two auxiliary food spots on campus (Quiznos, World of Wings). The places are pretty tasty, but the prices are pretty high and you cannot use your meal plan there only your flex funds.
Dorm Life Dorm life is pretty average compared to bigger university. You have a lot more personal space than a bigger university. Though housing is increasing dramatically every semester.
Academic Rigor Even though this is not a major university it is a pretty difficult coursework at this school. A saying around campus is, It is easy to be accepted to Armstrong, but it is hard to stay at Armstrong.
Tips for prospective students The top tip I would give any student is to know your professors. A lot of the professors on campus are very helpful and really want the students to visit their office hours and speak to him about assignments and projects.
In three sentences Great school, great professors and the size of the school is not that big. The classroom size is perfect for intimate learning with the professor. If you are looking for these attributes in a university this school is for you.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The Armstrong police can be a bit strict about parking, but they provide the best security for the campus and it's residents. They are also very nice people on the force and willing to help when there is a problem. My car wasn't working and one of the campus police officers took the time out of his day to help me with my problem. I couldn't have been more thankful.
Greek Life There are many opportunities for all kinds of sororities and fraternities on campus. There is a great deal of friendliness between sororities and fraternities. You make a great deal of friends and some you can even call family.
Bang for the buck All in all the school is relatively cheap. The education you receive is definitely worth it. The staff is specially chosen and provide excellent education. I was weary of a saturday class I had chosen to take, but the teacher made me look FORWARD to my eight o'clock in the morning class on saturday. He was fantastic!
What to do for fun There are a lot of things close by the school. There are 2 movie theaters, a mall and quite a few restaurants. With all the friends you make at this school, there will be quite a few things you can choose to do with your time! It's a very nice atmosphere!
Food and Dining The cafeteria has amazing food. You pay a price and you eat what you want. It's not like the processed foods you expect from a cafeteria and there's a starbucks right around from the dining area, along with abundant study areas.
Dorm Life From what I hear, it is nice. Just built some new dorms a year ago and there are quite a number of students who live on campus. I do not, because my family lives here, so going to school from home was ideal.
Academic Rigor You will need to study. There hasn't been one class I have attended that you didn't do just that.
Tips for prospective students Don't go into a class expecting a grade just for attending. Every grade you receive you earn and it takes a good deal of time to receive a grade you can be proud of. This school gives you a fantastic education, and the professors are inspiring!
In three sentences Armstrong is a great school that does not seem to be as hard as it really is. The students receives an amazing education for a small price, even though it is not hard to get in. It is common to overhear that all you need is a heartbeat to get into Armstrong, but you need some real brains to stay in.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is well lit at night and if you want you can ask to be escorted anywhere if its late or for any other reason.
Greek Life I havent participated in greek life yet but i plan to in the future.
Clubs and Activities There are clubs of all kinds that can fit everyone's needs and wants, in or near the campus.
Great for these types of students Students that can balance their work and play.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The best place i saw on campus was the international garden, beautiful and creative but will reek havoc on your allergies.
Bang for the buck Compared to what is offered at Armstrong, your paying a lot less. With all the programs offered, i expected to pay a lot more money than i am.
What to do for fun What isn't there to do, just about everything you can thing of is at the school from soccer to karate.
Food and Dining There is a wide variety of foods that look fresh and not like they have been sitting under a heat lamp since that morning.
Dorm Life The dorms are spacious and put you close to people that have the most in common with you.
Academic Rigor Just because they are in Savannah doesn't mean you can just party all the time and still pass, you have to work for your grades but that doesn't mean you can't play some times.
Tips for prospective students Relax and don't tear your hair out, the staff are not secretly evil. They really do care about how your doing, and ensuring you succeed.
In three sentences This campus is open and dedicated the the education and happiness of their students. They have an equal balance of education and recreational activities. When i visited the campus the friendly people and atmosphere took the fear out of going to college.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Because Savannah is a nice quiet place, the only place for fun is in Downtown Savannah. Outside Armstrong there are two malls within a 5 mile radius from the campus as well. There is also the beach which is like 15 minutes away.
Food and Dining Well the food is not the best in my opinion. They only have five different areas to chose from which are a pizza area, a grill area, a salad bar, a sub area, and a home-cooked area. On the campus visit I ate the pizza which was very good but the other areas didn't appease me too much but I'm a picky eater though. On campus they do have a starbucks, a subconnection, and a wings place. But outside of our school campus, is a ton and I mean a ton of restaurants and fast-food places to eat from if you don't like the food on campus.
Dorm Life The dorms are great, well speaking for the upperclassmen. For the freshman , they are only two types of dorms to chose from. But the freshmen dorms are only two years old so they are fairly new. They also have game rooms and tv rooms on the dorm floors where you can hang out with. They have a small kitchen area for the students who stay on that side of the dorms could use. But overall , it is very comfortable and makes you feel at home or if your at a nice hotel.
Academic Rigor At Armstrong, education is taken very seriously. When I went to the campus visit, the group instructor told us that the three hardest courses are Economics, Biology, and Math. But they offer many tutoring services to help you. If you stay focused in class and speak to the professor, you will see much improvement in your work and study habits.
Tips for prospective students The tips I would give is to come in college with a agenda to graduate and excel. Not saying you can't have fun and enjoy your college years but make sure you keep in mind the reason you came to the school. Another tip I would give make sure you stay organized because mom and dad won't be there to wake you up for class. Write down a daily to do list of things you want to accomplish so you stay on track. Lastly, have fun. This is going to be the most memorable years of your life , so live it up.
In three sentences Armstrong Atlantic is an amazing school that provides the best education and experiences of your life. They provide you with all the tools to help you succeed. It is a very campus friendly-place in a great area with a lot of fun activities to do.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are tons of Greek, athletic, academic, and special interest organizations to be a part of! Otherwise going downtown is always a great time (if youre 21), to go to the many bars, clubs, festivals, and other social activities. If not 21 yet, statesboro is a 20 minute drive away where there are plenty of bars, clubs, and college students.
Food and Dining If you're looking to gain the freshman 15, the on-campus dining will be like a dream come true. The Main dining area, the Caf, is a buffet style common area with lots of choices, but no quality.
Dorm Life Freshman dorms are brand new and very nice. The rest of the on- campus housing is being renovation every summer.
Academic Rigor For a small school, the departments demand that the teachers provide the students with a fundamentally sound education.
Tips for prospective students Respect the deadlines! whether it be applications/financial aid/housing or any other university centered process, pay careful attention to the deadlines.
In three sentences The school is small in both population and campus size. However, Savannah is a little big city that is rich with history, nightlife, and has a diverse population that compensates for the size of the school. Academically, the school is well respected, as are the the athletic teams.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Armstrong is a small college on the outskirts of Savannah and I quiet enjoy it. I see people I know everyday in between classes and it is much more social than previous schools I have attended in larger cities. There's always something going on that you can easily get involved with.
Food and Dining They're are a couple of places to eat on campus and they do the job, but if you are they're everyday prepare to want to drive or walk to the local stores and restaurants.
Tips for prospective students The bursars office can be a mess when it comes to paying for the semester and many of the people who you talk to may not be able to answer your questions though they like to pretend they can. If you can figure it out from home then do it, It will save you time and the headache.
In three sentences Armstrong is small but it is a good school with good professors. I have enjoyed my classes and enjoy the size. I can get too any of my classes in under ten minutes no matter where on campus I am, I enjoy this after hearing the horror stories about colleges I had thought about attending prior.

Categories Comments Food and Dining At AASU, we have a large buffet in our cafeteria. We also have the perk which is like a Starbucks. And recently we got a World of Wings and a Quiznos. All of the food on campus is exceptional!
Dorm Life AASU has many dorm rooms, including new dorm rooms in which they are all very nice and super clean!
Academic Rigor At AASU, all of the professors, especially in the department of Health Sciences make a successful impact on all students. The professors are simply, the best!
In three sentences AASU is simply the best college around. I believe attending this university has simply made the greatest impact on my life for I now know the importance of education. Also, I now love going to school, being involved in leadership and volunteer activities, and at AASU I have made amazing relationships with the faculty, staff, and students!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Overall,I have never heard of anything happening on campus since I've been here aside of a single car break in. But the campus is open to the city streets, and and poorly lit in select areas ( but these are away from dorms). Police do actively patrol the lots, even at night.
Clubs and Activities Volunteer Armstrong is a great opportunity to give back to the community. AASU is also a very active participant in light the Night cancer walk.
Great for these types of students outdoorsy, tranquil, not a hudge fan of massive crowds, laid back, students that need quiet and privacy when they study, students that have a car, or dont!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Yes. Saint Patrick's day is absolutely huge in Savannah. tens of thousands of people come to the city to celebrate, and it is so fun to participate and see all the odd things that walk down river street!
Bang for the buck COming out of this program I nearly doubled the legnth of me resume and related work expierience. I can talk with the professionals in my field and menotrs have seemed to really be impressed with my awareness of current health care issues and challenges and decision making. AASU set me up in several off campus internships, which were challenging, fun and very rewarding and set me up with contacts galore in my area.
What to do for fun I love the location of Armstrong. It is right on the edge of Savannah (literally). Downtown has a wonderful nightlife scene, with clubs and restaurants for every ethnicity and preference. The shopping isn't half bad either. There Is live music everywhere, sporting events, and of course- the beach. Your surrounded by water and places to ride you bike here. Its a jogger/walkers heaven.
Food and Dining We do have a Starbucks, and some shops on campus. The dining hall has some impressive selections as well. Not bad for a small school. We are also surrounded by sushi, Mexican, steakhouses, fusion and sport bar dining off campus and very nearby.
Academic Rigor Courses are not an easy A, but the teachers are always accessible and available and bring in fantastic seminars and guest speakers and internship opportunities. Its goes beyond the traditional classroom.
Tips for prospective students Apply for housing early, and don't overlook little steps involved. If you choose to live off campus, really look into the areas you move to. The same goes for financial aid and if you’re out of state, research the available awards- they are out there and I got two! And if you plan on pursuing a graduate program here, work at least a year or two first; it will compliment the experience here and your internships.
In three sentences I was drawn to Armstrong by the campus itself- bricks, fountains and gardens surrounded by marshes, friendly southerners and beachfront. Each one of my professors knows my full name, my hometown and my interests and push me. It’s a perfect place to balance your free time and academics, with teachers who actually care about your success and involve you in the outside world from the start- it goes beyond tradition classroom experience.

Categories Comments What to do for fun They have open mic nights every month. Go to those because they are a lot of fun! They have various events for fun too on campus. But off campus, going downtown, to the mall, and to the beach are fun things to do because they are so close.
Food and Dining Well, I really want to get off my meal plan, that is for sure! It isn't worth what you pay. They make very few things that are really good. They don't know how to make good healthy food. But, you can always count on them to make good bad food, like fries or pizza, hence why I want to get off the meal plan!
Dorm Life Windward is where the freshmen live. It is brand new, so it is really nice and you can opt to live in a private where you only have to share a bathroom with your roommate! The only problem is the high security they keep on us. I can't wait to live in the apartments next year.
Academic Rigor I would give it a 3 and a half. But, I am only a freshman and have really only taken core classes. Your major's classes will be a lot tougher. I am in an upper level biology course and that is really difficult, arguably the hardest course on campus!
Tips for prospective students Do your best in all the classes you take and try to live on campus! The Armstrong community isn't what I was looking for in a college, compared to other schools but, they are doing the best they can since it is mostly a commuter school. Living on campus really does help.
In three sentences Armstrong is a good place to be if you are looking for a cheap public university with semi-excellent quality. It is good for students majoring in any kind of health career, but I am an education major and my classes are also good! This school is not a party school, so if that is what you are looking for you probably shouldn't come here.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The police are always watching. LOL. I'll leave it at that.
Greek Life From the Divine Nine, we have DELTA SIGMA THETA, Alpha Kappa Alpha, and Zeta Phi Beta. We also have Sigma Sigma Sigma, Alpha Sigma Tau, Pi Kappa, etc.
Clubs and Activities Our school has a club for just about everything!!! SGA, Campus Union Board, Collaboration Models, Collegiate 100, Anime Club, Biology Club, Residential Student Association, NAACP etc.
Great for these types of students Great for students who want to get the university feel of college but still want to stay focused.
Bang for the buck Living on campus gets more expensive every year for the same apartments and amenities. My advice: do your mandatory year as a residential student, find people you can tolerate as roommates, get a job, and move off.
What to do for fun There is a mall across the street, one down the street, we are 15-20 min from downtown, 30-40 min from the beach. For parties, Savannah State and SCAD are minutes away.
Food and Dining If you live on campus, you're required to get a meal plan, freshmen meal plans cost the most because they don't have kitchens so they're expected to eat 3x a day in the cafeteria. The food is ok, its All you care to eat once you swipe your ID. Also they have a Wing place, Starbucks, and Quiznos, which you can use your Flex Cash (or normal cash)for. ($150 a semester)
Dorm Life The actual dorms (when I lived there) were ok, we had typical maintenance issues because the buildings are old, but as of this summer ('12) I hear they're renovating so... Also, they built Freshman dorms (I was lucky enough to be a Sophomore when they were finished) and I personally don't like the rules there, but is has the feel of a more traditional dorm. (No company after 12, 1 kitchen per floor, a roommate in the room, etc)
Academic Rigor The core classes weren't super bad for me, but no college is easy! (If it were, everyone would have a degree, right?)
Tips for prospective students Ask questions if you have them, and make friends! Form study groups for your harder classes and sign of for mentor/mentee programs if you have them in your major! Also, be sure to balance work and play!
In three sentences This school is very diverse. It's not really a party school, but we have alot of cool events. Most of the staff are here to actually help you succeed.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Get off campus, downtown Savannah offers alot for tourists or just people looking for interesting tours or places to go. There are decent beaches near Savannah and two malls in Savannah. However there really isn't anything entertaining on campus.
Tips for prospective students Savannah is beautiful and AASU is a good school, but be sure you take a tour and get to know the school before you make the decision to attend. You may find you do not like it or it may be just the school for you.
In three sentences The school itself is very appealing visually, however once you actually start attending the school it does have a good bit of negative attributes. The food in the dining facilities is poor, and the Financial Aid office is almost impossible to work with. Most of the teachers are pretty good and offer good instruction for their classes but if i could afford to i would have loved to have chosen a different school.

Categories Comments Campus Safety we have a 24/7 campus police, all of which are trained police officers. we do not have any rent-a-cops!
Greek Life i am aware of numerous fraternity and sorities on campus, so you'll have your pick.
Great for these types of students unsure of what they want to do with their lives. have a strong desire for the medical field.
What to do for fun many student activities offered every semester and they vary every time so no repeats. a short ride away from downtown where there are numerous clubs, pubs, bars, along with a lot shopping available. not to mention, you'll be living in literally one of the oldest cities in the united states that is still standing how it was originally designed! many touristy things to do.
Food and Dining there are numerous options for dinning available. there is a buffet style cafeteria that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. a convenience store called 'the pirate pantry' which sales everything from milk, eggs, and cheese, to candy bars, soda, and over the counter medicine. the perk, a starbucks affiliated coffee store. quizno's, one of the only remaining quizno's still in savannah. world of wings, a new food option which sales what else -- chicken wings! of course there are other options within walking distance, mcdonald's, taco bell, kroger grocery store, mexican restaurant, subway, mall food court.
Dorm Life i am not very familiar with the day-to-day dorm life as i live off campus and always have. i do know that there on-campus washer/driers, a fairly large parking lot reserved just for on-campus students. many activities are always going on from comedians, open mic-night, bands, along with organizational sponsored activities. even being an off-campus student, it's hard to be bored.
Academic Rigor depending on the program desired, i do not feel that the classes are overly hard for coming in freshman and undeclared student. i am aware that the higher you proceed in your education the more demanding and rigorous the work becomes, which is expected for an higher education.
Tips for prospective students it's right on the city bus line. across the street from many shopping opportunities as well as various dinning options. movie theaters virtual across the street, one caters the college crowd. it is a dry campus but many bars, pubs, and dinning options that it isn't a major issue. a large local population also goes to the school, much higher student attendance that lives on campus.
In three sentences small campus that allows freshmen to bring their cars on campus. professors are very friendly and openly encourage for students to come to them for one-on-one time if needed. a wide variety of degrees are available along with new ones being added often for minors as well as majors.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students great for people who like to hang out with fake people who are only your friend if you kiss their butt and get drunk with them.
Bang for the buck this school definitely is not worth all of the money they charge!
Food and Dining the food is good at first until you realize that they rarely cook the good stuff and most of the dinner is the leftovers from lunch. after the first few weeks, they cook the same thing almost everyday. i didn't like it at all!
Dorm Life the freshman dorms are pretty nice and its easy to make friends if you don't stay in your room.
Academic Rigor the classes are actually pretty good and can be easy if you do what you are supposed to do.
Tips for prospective students if you want to make friends you have to go to parties and stay out of your room!
In three sentences they do not communicate with their students at all. i wouldn't recommend anybody going here because they make everything so difficult. if you need help, the staff are not always helpful and sometimes are rude.

Bang for the buck armstrong is a 4 year university with the price tag of a community college.
What to do for fun armstrong is in savannah. there is a decent nightlife and shopping. the beach is close and if you love history there are old forts everywhere and you can camp year round.
Food and Dining i don't live on campus. but i have been through the student union and their seems to be a variety.
Dorm Life dorm life doesn't apply to me. i live off campus.
Academic Rigor i am being challanged in all of my classes
Tips for prospective students make sure you download the application checklist from their website.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who plan on a medical profession (Armstrong works with several large nearby hospitals), students of the liberal arts, and students who currently don't have a declared major (Armstrong has a lot of classes to offer, and amazing class advisers that will help you find what you want to do).
Tips for prospective students Don't overload yourself with classes in your first year. Take it easy with 12-15 hours a semester; the University will allow you to take more if you get a waiver, but 18 or more hours a semester will burn you out quickly. Spend your first year in the dorms. You'll meet many more people than you will living off-campus, and it will make sure that you will always be near people who can help you in a time of need, whether personal or academic. If you realize that you don't like your major, explore other options. Don't stick to a decision you'll regret later. If you don't like learning about it now, you won't like doing it for the rest of your life either.
Bang for the buck Considering its size and reputation, Armstrong costs next to nothing, especially if you acquire a scholarship or two. Furthermore, by looking for off-campus housing, which is incredibly easy due to the large number of nearby, affordable apartment complexes, you can cut down the cost of your college experience drastically! Materials for classes can get expensive, but Armstrong's bookstore offers very reasonably priced used textbooks, all in excellent condition.
Am enjoying being here The smaller campus makes for a very personal feel. Its easy to make new friends and to find people you know because there are frequently outdoor events put together by student organizations. The green space at Armstrong is also very well kept and almost entirely shaded by huge trees. Right across the street is a mall and a large strip of restaurants to go when you want to get off campus for an hour or two, and a simple 20 minute drive will put right in the heart of Historic downtown Savannah, which is full of shopping, parks, and restaurants!
Am learning a lot The professors at Armstrong are incredibly helpful and caring. The classes are small, so not only is there often a lot of in class discussion, but it also makes it easier to get one-on-one time with your professors to ask questions, which they all love to answer. Most of the professors also give very thorough lectures accompanied by PowerPoint presentations projected on the board, which most professors also post online for students to download and reference. With a little bit of studying and good note-taking, any student can succeed here.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Stay focus! I may sound like a nerd; however, I am focus on school. Growing up in the inner city before moving to Georgia all together I understood the party life. With college, you have to stay focus into your work because it can hurt your academics if not.
Bang for the buck It's iffy on money issues. Yes the campus can be very expensive, however, if you manage your money well and really stay on the financial aid department, then you will be fine.
Am enjoying being here If you don't keep yourself busy by taking the bus or doing anything, I admit it can be very boring on campus. However, please don't use people for rides because once you become dependent sometimes getting a ride may not always happen for you.
Am learning a lot Being in a Pharmacy major, I thought would be hard until my first semester. However, the reasoning was that I had very few hours compared to my colleagues. Attending Armstrong, I've learned a great deal of responsibility being that I am the only one from my high school, originally from a different state, and live four hours away from my mother.

Am learning a lot The small classes and personal professors make learning a breeze. You can always ask and you instantly become a part of your class instead of a face in the back of the room.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This institution is great for any type of student. I think that if a student is interested in learning and furthering their education would like it here. Overall though, I guess I could say that Armstrong is best for students who are interested in a health profession.
Tips for prospective students I suggest that if you come to Armstrong you should have a mind and will to work. College life in general is not easy. It is a very great learning institution and they are very helpful in helping its students succeed.
Bang for the buck A college education no matter where you go is going to be costly but I feel that I am getting my moneys worth here at Armstrong.
Am enjoying being here I really like the environment at Armstrong. Everyone is very friendly and highly school spirited. Here I feel a sense of community and that allows me to enjoy the college life a little better.
Am learning a lot Before coming to Armstrong I was afraid that it would be very hard to adjust to the college life but after attending classes this semester I have found that the professors have made it an easy transition. They have given me a better appreciation for learning and I have learned a lot throughout the time that I have been here.

Tips for prospective students Come here! You'll love it. I moved here all alone and made friends the first week I was here. Live on campus your first year, you can meet a lot of people that way.
Bang for the buck Very inexpensive for a University.
Am enjoying being here Armstrong is in a great city and is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, etc. It is very nice. The fraternities and sororities are a plus as well.
Am learning a lot The Science classes are very though, even for Biology majors, but Armstrong is a great college. I love it here. Most of the teachers are available to help you during office hours and there are a ton of places to get help on campus as well.

Tips for prospective students It'll be a great decision. Because our campus is so small, it feels like a family. There are plenty of student organizations to get involved in: Student Government Association, Campus Union Board, Greek Life, Clubs for majors and special interest, intramural and NCAA Sports. Armstrong Atlantic State University was the best choice I've made!!! Become a Pirate today!!!
Am enjoying being here Getting involved in different student organizations made my transitions to Armstrong Atlantic great!!!
