Beautiful campus in a cute town. Interesting, diverse majors. Easy to navigate campus.
Read MoreCal Poly is a great education for a public, state school. If you are interested in engineering, architecture, agriculture, viticulture, or business I would highly recommend. If you are a fan of the outdoors, you will enjoy this school for its proximity to the beach and various hiking trails.
Read Moreimpacted classes, lack of diversity, rigorous courses- engineers graduate in 4-5 yrs, good for engineering, expensive housing, hands-on but not for every major, greek life is common, hot weather, close to the beach, lots of natural and scenic areas, crappy and overpriced campus food and in slo bc its white af (except chick fil a and jamba and einsteins), nice rec center but ugly campus- kinda looks like a prison and most buildings/classrooms dont have AC (dorms dont either except for red bricks), new freshman dorms for 2018, might require 1st n 2nd yrs to live on campus soon, frat parties, freshman cant bring cars, some police are assholes and give lots of tickets for parking, speeding, MIP, etc, rideshare is accessible for going to the bay and la for weekends. Getting admitted is easy but adjusting to a new environment and getting good grades is more of a challenge. Good luck to prospective students ????

Read MoreI was super impressed with how friendly everyone was on campus; very positive and upbeat vibe. The campus and surrounding area was beautiful and very walkable. Their "learn by doing" mantra that is followed in all the colleges sounded like it would make learning fun and enhance understanding of the material.
Read MoreCal Poly is a great school! The campus is gorgeous and the people here are great! It's also such a good deal considering how much tuition costs and the education you're getting!
