The Red Brick dorms are generally less crazy than Yosemite or Sierra Madre, but have more of a diverse collection of students who study, party, exercise, and go to events.…
Its awesome! Enough said…
The dorms are rather small compared to other campuses. But I rather enjoyed getting to know my dorm-mates. There are always featured events put on by your specific dorm, which…
Living in the LLC's are nice. Lots of community activity going on and it is a tight knit community among the people.…
There are two options for freshmen in terms of dorming: traditional dorm rooms and the Cerro Vista Apartments. The apartments are much newer and you get your own room, a…
The food is pretty good. There are different spots around campus to eat which makes it nice so you don't have to walk too far to pick something up. There are some chains like Chick-fil-a and Subway (which is 24 hours!), and of course Jamba Juice which started here at CP. There's also a good buffet area which I like to study at so I can eat and do something productive at the same time. It's easy to eat something healthy here on campus, and it's easy to treat yourself to something like a nice burger.

Read MoreAs part of room and board, you get Cal Poly bucks to spend at any restaurant on campus, including the chains like Subway, Chick Fil A and at the food trucks which come on campus. Lots of options! A little low on healthy options.
Read MoreThe food is not great here. There honestly isn't that much of a selection, but there is still definitely good food! On campus, not so much, but downtown, there is a good selection. On campus, we have 2 Starbucks locations, which is convenient, despite the long lines. We also have Einsteins bagels and Jamba Juice. Mustang Station (pizza) and Sandwich Factory are also pretty good. Downtown, I would recommend Firestone Grill and Woodstocks Pizza. There are also chains such as Chipotle and the Habit.
Read Morethere are so many restaurants and places for dining all over campus and they are reasonably priced and delicious!
Read Morethere are many different options on campus, including the original jamba juice, which was a senior project created at slo.
Read MoreI don't attend this school but I took a guided tour of the campus and they showed us all of their food options. They have a cafeteria with breakfast buffet, starbucks, Chipotle, and many other great food options.
Read MoreThe food here is not the best. There is only one dining hall on campus and it's food is pretty much hit or miss every day. There is no online menu for the food they're serving that day so if you want to know what they're serving you have to go check for yourself or ask someone.
Read MoreFood around campus is pretty good, but most of it starts to taste bland after a couple weeks.
Read MoreIt seemed kinda small compared to other schools, but still manageable.
Read MoreGreek life is great out here! I wasn't planning on joining a sorority until maybe my second year, but I joined winter of my first year and it was the best decision. All the girls in my chapter are so welcoming and look out for one another like we've known each other for years. It's exciting, and being involved in Greek life is going to make the rest of my college experience more amazing.
Read MoreGreek life is alright here. They're active and fun. For guys, the only way to get into big parties is to be in a frat. Sororities are cool and full of fun girls. Take this to heart: frats and sororities are not stereotypes. Yeah, there's some stereotypical guys and girls, but chances are that you'll find some organization that actually fits really well with you and where you make good, real friends. It really is what you make of it.
Read More16% of Cal Poly students are affiliated in Greek Life. There are two rush sessions for both fraternities and sororities.

Read MoreThe greek life is moderate. It doesn't dominate the school like some universities have set up but it still is somewhat big.
Read MoreI am not apart of it and don't know enough to give a informative opinion
Read MoreQuite varied although not all are very active.
Read MoreGreek life is not huge, but is still a great aspect to Cal Poly. Greek Life is advised for guys to try to get into more parties and meet more people. There is a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood when it comes to Greek Life. Highly recommend Greek Life second quarter to try to find yourself first at college.
Read MoreGreek life is huge in Cal Poly, with many frats and sororities students can join. We even have Intramural sports leagues dedicated to Frats and Sories. I have friends in Greek life, and I have mostly heard positive reviews from them. It is a great platform to meet new friends and be involved socially. There is a handful of them that are not exactly friendly, and cause problems during frequent parties they throw. They ended up ruining the experience for everyone in Greek life, sadly, with a social probation of undefined duration.
Read MoreThere are a lot of sororities and fraternities, so it won't be hard to find one that you love! There are some great people in these organizations, and they are very friendly and supportive.
