The party scene is virtually nonexistent, so if you are expecting to go out every weekend you will be disappointed.
Read MoreDorm life is unique at Bryn Athyn College. All the dorms are close--within 300 yards from one another. They are also right on campus. Forget having to walk three blocks to get to your classes like you do in the city or having to walk a quarter mile like you would at a huge state university. At Bryn Athyn College, the dorms are all a two to four minute walk from one another and the college as well. The freshman dorms are alright, they are not state of the art like all the others, but they are fine nonetheless. The other facilities, for sophomores, juniors and seniors, are second to none. The sophomores and juniors all get suites, complete with a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The seniors get their own cottages. I'm talking real, full-blown cottages. Ah yes, one of the many benefits of going to a small college.

There is an outdoor volleyball court, and an completely redone social center, with enormous TV and surround sound, a pool table, and air hockey table. There is also a director of social life, so there are weekly events for students to attend, most are free of charge. Only trips cost money.
Read MoreAt Bryn Athyn College, you're just a short walk, or drive, from the train station, which can take you into Philadelphia for some fun nights out. Also, there is the Bryn Athyn Historic District right across the road from the college, even though the grounds close at dusk, Bryn Athyn students are known for taking 'haunted walks' with the local students who have stories of the Bryn Athyn Beast, and Swedenborg's ghost. The college is also located near the Penny Pack Trust, which gives students a chance to hike the trails and get in touch with nature.
