    What to do for fun

Many clubs and competitive teams are available. Baja racing, robotics, academic, and social clubs are available. The area around the school is also full of fun outdoors activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking.

    Food and Dining

The university is near a lot of great dining areas, but on campus dining is minimal. Starbucks and a few other small chain restaurants are available. A shuttle can take you to another ASU campus with more options.

    Dorm Life

Dorms are fairly small but buildings are accommodating. The dorm mates are generally nice and friendly, you will be able to meet a lot of like-minded people. The dorms have study spaces, kitchenettes, and social spaces.

    Academic Rigor

The school is fairly rigorous because it is a college of engineering. Students are expected to be skilled in mathematics and science. More importantly, students should be able to apply their knowledge on real projects.

    Tips for prospective students

For incoming freshman, make sure to take SAT's and have a relatively high GPA. The school has a lot of on site projects and hands-on learning that will require full attention. Come ready to learn!

    In three sentences

Arizona State University's Polytechnic Campus is exciting, isolated, and scholarly. It still has access by shuttle to other campuses for student life. Polytechnic is a great engineering school ranking number one in innovation in the country.

    Campus Safety

I have never had a problem. There are campus police, safety apps, and call locations all over the campus.

    Clubs and Activities

Being a smaller campus, there are not as many clubs as on the Tempe campus, but you can join any of those or you have the opportunity to start your own club on campus.

    What to do for fun

We have a lot of sun in Arizona. Many activities on all campuses and around town. Best if you have transportation.

    Food and Dining

There are a few options for dining on campus. There are also many restaurants within 5 miles of the campus.

    Dorm Life

You can live on campus or off campus. There are even houses for upperclassmen to rent instead of the dorms.

    Academic Rigor

It is a major university, classes are as described when you are choosing your major, etc.

    Tips for prospective students

Visit the campus. It is quieter than the main campus, but has grown a lot in the 2 years I have been enrolled here.

    In three sentences

Smaller campus than the main ASU campus in Tempe. Mostly biology, engineering, education, and aviation degrees at this location. Free shuttle available to any of the ASU campuses for enrolled students, so if you need to take a class at another campus, you can.
