Around Town

East GR is ridiculously close. Easily within walking distance. 28th street (Woodland Mall) is about 10 minutes away by car. 44th street (Rivertown Crossings) is about 20 minutes away by car. There aren't many parties (and the ones they have aren't that great) but there are quite a few things usually going on during the school year.

There are endless amounts of things to do while at Aquinas, especially being in the Grand Rapids area. There is always something new going on downtown and even just a short drive away at Grand Valley, Calvin, or Ferris. Aquinas always holds special events on campus, whether it's comedians, speakers, sports games, fall festivals, homecoming week, etc. I've never been to an event on campus that wasn't worth my time.

Definitely explore Grand Rapids. On campus there is so many clubs and events it is hard to get bored. Just walk down to your lobby even and you are bound to find something,

There are a lot of different kinds of clubs offered at Aquinas as well as intramural sports groups throughout the school year. There are a lot of little shops within walking distance from the campus. There is also the possibility of creating new groups or clubs on campus.

Downtown Grand Rapids is walking distance and there is something to do there almost every season! East Grand Rapids is such a great town with lots to do as well!

Down Town Grand Rapids is great, and so close to Campus!! Aquinas has everything to offer. It's a small campus right in the middle of a city with a great atmosphere.

I love to longboard around campus for fun. The roads are so smooth and the perfect difficulty for my skill level. My friends and I also like to go to Yesterdog and the hookah lounge.

Exploring Downtown Grand Rapids is always a good time. Being only about two miles from campus it is just a short walk or run and is always a delight.

There are a hundred and one things you can do for fun. There is always some campus, club, promotional, or volunteer event on and off campus. Eastown is not a far walk and there are many shops and restaurants down there. You can feed the squirrels and even pet one if you are so inclined (I came close). Downtown Grand Rapids is not a far drive and there are a hundred and one things to do down there alone! Get your friends together and watch a movie, start a band, go plant hunting. It is up to you!

There are students events, but not at night or during the weekends. ArtPrize in Grand Rapids is fun.
