Professors genuinely care, and are always willing to meet with you when you need it. There are tons of organizations to be involved in. There is always an event of some sort going on. You really get the feel of a community because the campus is so small, and you recognize everyone you walk past on the way to class. (Also, the landscaping is beautiful!!!)

Every first year meets with a personal advisor, and I have had several meetings with my dean to sit down a talk about what's new- there's no rush, and they're always happy to meet with students. Everyone is invited to be a part of the community, but there's not pressure to fit it. I have a hectic work schedule, and even my RA is more than happy to make changes to hers so that we can have time to check in and chat.
