    Join a club. Yes, seriously. Something to get you out of your room on a regular basis, and get you meeting people who have a chance of sharing an interest. Also - the professors always complain about lonely office hours - yes, even in my packed physics classes! The professor honestly has a better chance of answering your questions than the tutoring center, unfortunately. Use office hours. Make appointments to meet outside of office hours, if classes conflict.

    Western is a Washington school so be prepared for rain and snow, it can also get pretty cold. There is a lot of walking do to it being a longer campus, luckily there is not that many hills.
