    Stay on top of your classwork! I know it’s cliche, but if you’re not on top of your work, your grades will reflect that. Get involved! There are so many activities and clubs at Western that it is absolutely impossible not to get involved. Last, but not least, be ready to socialize. People in this valley are not afraid to give you a smile or tell you that you look nice. If you’re shy like me, this probably sounds like a nightmare, but trust me, it’ll be okay, you’re perfectly safe and no one means to hurt you.

    The campus tour is very helpful, but they can't show you the college experience. Its different for everybody, and the faculty and Orientation leaders make the transition to Western smooth and extremely welcoming.

    If you are in for a party this would be a good place to go and get a good education. However, if you are just looking for an education and don't want to play around, this would probably not be the best place for you.

    Don't go drinking just because you can. It probably will spiral out of control because the only people who have the authority to stop you often times have at least 20 others to take care of and can't be everywhere.
