since the town is so small, dorm life is dominant here. and absolutely love it! you get to meet all sorts of people, and you are within walking distance…
i guess it depends on which dorm you pick! there are alot of new dorms that are being built and a couple being refurbished, those are the ones to go…
Dorm Life at WSU my Freshman year was awesome! I lived in Stephenson South tower which was at the Southern end of campus by Southside Dining Hall. While people may…
You'll always find someone you don't like, but you'll find so many more that you'll love. This is my second family! I got lucky and my randomly-assigned roommate became one…
There is a great variety of choices in dorms throughout campus. They range from old to brand new and each has their own charm and amenities to make them…
The food and dining at WSU completely depends on where you go. Northside definitely has the best quality of on campus food, as it has an Einstein's Bagels right on campus! Hillside is a close second, but it only has residence hall food for freshman. The restaurants off campus are definitely a better option than those that are on.
Read MoreThere are three dining halls on campus with similar options, and a variety of other places to eat in the center of campus and around the dining halls. WSU uses a system where you buy "credit" for your Residence Dining Account, which is used to pay for food at the dining halls. Not all places on campus accept RDA, and some require cash or credit/debit. While there is a variety of food, it doesn't change throughout the year and I found myself getting tired of it. Additionally, its very expensive, I would recommend purchasing the lowest RDA and relying on groceries, etc.
Read MoreThere were so many dining halls with many different choices. It looked amazing.
Read Morethe dining halls are all excellent. there is always a diverse selection of food. sometimes the selections repeat for a few days in a row which can get annoying!
Read Morefood is great wherever you want to eat.
Read MoreYou get sick of the food after a few weeks. It's get when you need a quick fix or are truly craving some bacon and waffles, but the fresh fruit and vegetables, and grocery options leave more to be desired. Once again, it seems North side has the upper-hand on this.
Read MoreWhile the dining halls aren't 5 star restaurants, the staff do their best to provide excellent meals for you and that's something to celebrate in itself. There are plenty of other choices if the dining halls aren't your favorite too. Multiple cafes, Einstein's, Subway, Panda Express, and so much more are available to you on campus.
Read MoreAlthough in a rural environment, I'm sure there are some good food options in Pullman. Also, Pullman is a few miles away from Moscow, Idaho which would offer more options.
Read Moretons of greek houses and multicultural houses
Read MoreOne thing to note is that this school is completely centered around Greek life. Everything revolves around it. If you are not in a house, you are referred to as a "Geed", which has somewhat of a negative connotation. The Greek system at WSU however is exceptional. It is one of the best in the nation and has some of the best people you will ever meet involved in it. However, for a lot of people Greek life is just not their forte, so they will have to find something else to do to stay involved at WSU.
Read MoreThe Greek and Multicultural community are huge and lively at WSU. Greek Row always has awesome events going on, and Sororities and Fraternities host fundraisers, date dashes, formals, hikes, campouts, bowling - you name it! If you're looking to get involved and make some lasting friendships and memories, I would strongly suggest formally rushing a fraternity or sorority, there are all kinds and there is a place for everyone!
Read Moreoutstanding.. as a part of greek life, i find family to be around every corner. no matter what chapter you end up with, you find the people you belong with almost immediately. #gocougs #gogreek
Read MoreI'm not part of it so I can't say. However, it does play a huge role in the social scene here.
Read MoreReally large Greek system right of campus that helps in the community.
Read MoreThe Greek life at WSU is top notch. Greek row is so gorgeous and the houses are so pretty and nicely maintained, even the frats. It is definitley something I will be partaking in.
Read MoreThis school has a strict policy on hazing. It is not allowed in any circumstance. This is great since it ensures the safety of the student body. The houses are really friendly, and have more access on school activities. The older students make sure the new incoming class feels safe, and welcomed to the Coug family.
Read MoreGreek life takes over. Sorority girls and fraternity guys live on Greek Row in about 30-40 total chapters. If you are a freshman, Hillside of campus is where you should live until you are living in the House.
