They are raising tuition for this upcoming year, and while now I feel that I am getting what IĆ¢??ve paid for sometimes, I know that VCU is pretty expensive for what it is really worth. You could get the same kind of education from a cheaper college.

This one really depends. If you're coming from one of the top programs at VCU then yeah, it's worth it. If you're looking for a place where you can grow and try to take hold of your future then it's worth it. College is expensive. I do wish that the cost of attendance was a little lower but you do kind of get a lot out of VCU, especially if you take advantage of the resources on campus (Career Services, Advising, Tutoring Center, Writing Center, Student Health (on-campus clinic), extracurriculars/clubs, research, library services, IT service, free and discounted software downloads for students, and events).

Not really. As a student, I hate paying for university fees especially when it is used to build unnecessary buildings.

You will get your moneys worth if you are open minded and willing to put a hand forward. VCU does so much to ensure that everyone has a great experience and it truly a fun place to be. Although VCU does a lot for you, take the initiative to make it fun on your own. Life is too short not to have fun and enjoy it.

Tuition, books, supplies, and housing increase in price literally every year. Parking spots can run you $350 a semester and you aren't even guaranteed a spot. VCU is a money machine in just about every aspect.
