    stay on top of them constantly and make sure everything is in line, call once a week if you need to. don't let them give you the run around because they definitely will.

    Apply early for housing to make sure you get the places or options you want. Make sure you also bring some food like in a food tub cause the dining hall will get old fast.

    Get involved. Many student who come to VU say that there is nothing to do, yet there is. There is so much to do on campus, and to get involved in. Talk to your RAs or to the people at the Student Affairs office and you will find something to do. Go to the activities that are held. And don't be afraid to get involved.
