Categories Comments What to do for fun usf sports teams always do well, campus activities are awesome, theatre always has some good shows, multiple movie theatres around sioux falls, there is a zoo, parks, and the falls, a lot more in the city of sioux falls, you can always find something to do,
Food and Dining the food here is below average in all honesty for what i am paying for meals here the food should be a lot better. the meal times are good but the food is very bland, dry and sometimes the same thing for certain days of the week. sometimes they take leftovers and make new foods out of it and that's never good. some days its not bad but most days its nothing good.
Dorm Life the dorms are alright. the freshman dorms are not anything great, no ac, they are old and also small. all other dorms are larger, have air conditioning and have a new feel to them. intervisitation hours are the only super annoying thing about dorm life. they go from 10am-11pm on the weekdays and 9am-12am on the weekends.
Academic Rigor classes are very achievable, if you pay attention and show up. if do your work the good grades will come. some classes are very challenging but because of the small class sizes, professors can help you out if you need it. usf is a very good school when it comes to education.
Tips for prospective students don't set your expectations high, you will learn the school isn't very big very quickly, be ready for a lot of wind around campus, really easy to maneuver around the school, a lot of great people, get to know your professors, make friends with a lot of people,
In three sentences usf is a good school, with some minor flaws. the campus is great with some very good people. overall usf is a solid school!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is great. The people working are always extremely nice and there are rarely any problems.
Greek Life none.
Clubs and Activities There are a few clubs on campus that are a lot of fun, but getting information about them is a little bit difficult sometimes.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus In the freshman girls dorm, GI, we go mattress surfing down our stairs. There are always campus Olympics where the dorms compete against each other. On Valentine's Day we hold speed dating, not to seriously find a significant other, but as an extremely fun time to meet new people and have as much fun with it as you want.
What to do for fun Get involved in the campus activities. There are also places around town to go bowling or ice skating.
Food and Dining The food in the cafe is not awful, but if you are a picky eater then you might have trouble. They recently opened our coffee/sandwhich shop on Saturdays which has been wonderful. There is decent variety so you do not usually get too bored with one food.
Tips for prospective students Talk to students when you are on campus and get what they think, not just the good but the bad also. Talk to a professor.
In three sentences The professors are amiable, intelligent, and helpful. The campus activities are lacking, and could use some more enthusiasm. The athletes are catered to, and sometimes this means that students not in athletics are neglected.

Categories Comments What to do for fun If you cannot find any campus activities that interest you, the campus is located near the Empire Mall, and also 3 different movie theaters. Falls Park is also a beautiful option on a warm spring day.
Food and Dining Campus dining is very good high quality food. Java City is located in the downstairs section of the school and their coffee is always good for a cold day in South Dakota
Dorm Life I have not lived on campus, but I do believe the dorm life there is very active. Each week there is always some kind of email about something going on around campus. The director of campus life likes to make sure there are plenty of activities for people to be involved with besides academics.
Academic Rigor USF has a very high academic standards for their students. They want all of their students to succeed which is why they have an academic success center and writing center full of tutors to help students achieve their dreams of becoming a college graduate.
Tips for prospective students Depending on what you plan to major in, USF has a variety of scholarships available. Check out all of your options and financial aid to make sure that your college experience is paid and less stressful for when you complete your degree
In three sentences The University of Sioux Falls is an amazing Christian Liberal Arts school dedicated to helping its students succeed. It has a small beautiful campus in Sioux Falls that can be walked across in less than five minutes. As well as there is always someone there willing to help you if you need it.

Categories Comments Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is Sculpture Walk on Campus. Every homecoming, we ride the cougar to protect our large cat-statue from the enemy. In the very beginning of summer months after the snow has first melted, half of the campus takes part in polar plunge - a dive into the freezing cold (but entirely thrilling) pond outside of the Sullivan dorm room.
Bang for the buck When you look at the numbers, this school seems a tad expensive, but it is truly worth every penny. The relationships you will make not only with students but also faculty will follow you all the days of your life. This school truly sets you up for success and promises to remain your foundation even after you walk off the stage with a degree in hand.
What to do for fun The University of Sioux Falls is located right in the middle of Sioux Falls, SD - a fairly lively city - so there is always somewhere to go and something to do. Even still, if you never leave campus, you're likely to stay occupied. You can compete in the Summer/Winter Olympics, participate in various clubs/activities, spend time with friends and professors, catch a concert in Java City, take part in inter murals, walk around campus and look at the various sculptures, drop into Chapel on Tuesdays or Prayer Group on Wednesdays or Worship on Sundays. This just begins the list of eventful things to do at USF.
Food and Dining While the hours are are sometimes inconvenient, the food is great. Java City, the snack and coffee shop downstairs, is also a great wonder for grabbing a good drink, slipping in a snack, and meeting up with friends.
Dorm Life There is never a dull day on campus. Student Activities is always on the ball with creating dorm and campus activities, as well as Resident Directors that are dedicated in making your college experience something to remember. I have never had a greater family feeling (away from my real one that is) than I had in my first years at the University of Sioux Falls.
Academic Rigor Professors at the University of Sioux Falls truly care about every students' success. They are always available and always ready to help. They're expectations and standards are high, but all the better to help you become all that you can be.
Tips for prospective students Meet your professors and let them get to know you! Share your dreams, your ambitions, your hopes your fears - THEY CARE! The University of Sioux Falls has professors, Dorm Advisors, Student Faculty, and students who will pray with you, guide you, and encourage you to reach your greatest dreams. Hold NOTHING back!
In three sentences The University of Sioux Falls is an incredible school of academics, opportunities, and community. I cannot have imagined starting my life anywhere else. I'm not a number, but a student; not a statistic, by a searching and seeking soul; not just a face in a classroom, but a friend, a daughter, a woman with a future.
