Beach! One benefit we have over all of the other universities in the San Diego Area is that we are extremely close to not just one beach, but multiple! Lyft rides to either Missions Beach, Pacific Beach, or Ocean Beach are just $7 for a shared ride! Exploring the campus is also fun! There are many nooks hidden inside of the countless beautiful buildings on campus. Scouting out fun places to study, but never ever going to them to actually study is the best!

The beaches aren't too far, but you'll need a ride, because none are within walking distance. There are a lot of different clubs to join, and you can start your own. There are a bunch of concert halls downtown, and two at San Diego State. Don't let people fool you, there is a small rivalry with State, but if you want to party, most people go over there. Torero Program Board (TPB) hosts a ton of fun events, pretty much every week, and they are all free and there are usually desserts or some type of food.

  • I am researching this school and have visited the campus

When I visited it was obvious the main place for recreation is the beach since it is 5-10 minutes away and who doesn't love the beach!

There are many field trips made available to their students. Also, USD is very close to Sea World, Mission Bay, La Jolla, and old town San Diego.

Join a club or organization that hosts night events! Do an intramural sport-excersise and teammates without the stress of being on varsity! Take the tram to Old Town or the trolley to the mall and walk around and tempt yourself to spend money. Jump in one of the many fountains on campus, but don't get caught!
