Read MoreTime management is key!! Don’t get too caught up in one certain class or you will start to lag. As long as you pay attention and focus on all your academics and do your work, you will succeed. It’s hard to make sure all your classes are taken care of and have a social life but make sure you make time for fun too otherwise you wont have that much fun and URI is a really fun school!
Read MoreHonestly the one thing I regret leaving at home was my rain boots, it rains a decent amount so I would recommend bringing them. The best thing I did for myself was learn how to manage my time and not wait until the last minute to complete assignments. Get yourself some sort of calendar and write your assignments and their due dates down so you do not forget to do any of them!
Read MoreAlthough it is a state school, it doesn't feel very large and overwhelming. The environment is great and you get a good amount of people without feeling overcrowded or over looked. Also for it being a state school, some people would assume that it is easy to get into, but honestly it all depends on the program you apply for. Some of the programs are highly selective.
