Read MoreOU has a vast array of clubs and extracurricular activities. From sports to foreign languages to model UN, almost any student can find somewhere they fit in. If a student has an idea for a new club or activity, they can found it. The process of founding a club is very short (less than a week) and very easy. There are tons of restaurants, dessert shops, and pubs/bars on "Campus Corner" (an area just north of campus). There is almost always a sporting event you can go to (and students get in to everything but football and men's basketball free). One particular sport I'd recommend watching is gymnastics -- our teams consistently rank in the top 5.

Read MoreThe University of Oklahoma is known for its football. This season the best games were played and with each touchdown, the crowds roar and cheer. Football season always brings together friends and family. On a more calming and serene note, many people enjoy taking a stroll down south oval during the weekends. This large, beautiful campus has myriads of botanical creations. Within walking distance from the campus are two museums that are free of admission. The two museums are both nationally recognized: The Fred Jones Jr. Museum, which houses many prominent artist's paintings and sculptures and the Sam Noble Museum, which houses historical artifacts and hosts lectures of illustrious speakers from around the world. Located at the heart of Norman, OU gives students the opportunity to traverse and see what Oklahoma has in store for free. With free buses that arrive on campus every hour to take students to the Sooner Mall and Walmart, students are given the chance to explore the third largest city in Oklahoma. Other intercity buses can take students to the two most fascinating events: Norman Music Festival and the Norman Medieval Fair.

If not in the student center there is always so many different things you can do. Personally, I just love hanging out in the dorms.
