I'd recommend taking at least 2 AP tests for Math and Science to avoid having to fulfill the math and science requirements here, which involve less than stellar STEM professors. Regarding admission, take time to write a stellar essay and edit is multiple times with multiple people. Write about whatever you are most passionate about. I was accepted obviously, but could have chosen a much more fascinating topic for my essay. Sometimes you don't know what you are passionate about, so ask a friend what comes to their mind when they think of you!

Admissions is competitive so you probably want to be either the jack of all trades or extremely qualified in one area. ND puts more emphasis on legacy status than most schools. Early Action has a higher admit rate but it is also significantly more competitive than regular admission. That said, I would recommend applying Early Action but I wouldn't worry if you have to wait until regular decision.
