My own personal preference when going to school is living on Old Campus. The trees are beautiful. The dorms are smaller, but after visiting the newer, larger, dorms I realized…
This greatly depends on the dorm you are living in and what kind of lifestyle you like to live. Many freshmen live in the Harrison dorm which is rather cramped…
The dorms are great! I have lived in two different dorms, and I loved both of them. I would highly recommend living on campus if you can, it's a great…
You should live in the dorms at least one year. I met all of my friends in the dorm rooms freshman year; we're still friends 3 years later and plan…
There are dorms here for every type of person. If you want to live with a lot of people, you can have that. If you want a more quiet experience,…
The dining halls are pretty good. It can get boring after a while, but luckily you can use dining dollars for places on campus such as coffee shops, Einstein's Bagels, Subway, and Munchie Mart.

Read MoreI thought the food was pretty good considering my mom didn't cook it. I tried everything from pizza, pasta, grilled chicken sandwich, Chinese food, fresh salad and fruit, I made a sub, and then there is a good selection of dessert and most important an ice cream machine. I had to make sure, I wasn't going to starve when I go to school here. Another option I really liked the bagged lunch option if your in a hurry and don't have time to sit and eat, 3 minutes your in and out.
Read MoreThe many dining halls offer clean eating, pizza eating, and make-it-your-own italian.Whatever you're in the mood for, guaranteed, UNC has it.
Read MoreThere are plenty of places to eat at UNC. There are two dining halls which serve 3 meals a day and 1 that serves lunch on week days. The food isn't necessarily gourmet, but they do have some food that is really good. In the student center there are more options for food. They have Einstein Bagels, Taco Bell, Subway, and Starbucks. There's also a really great place called Bear's Bistro that serves made to order pasta, italian subs, and pizza. If you don't want to eat on campus, there are plenty of eateries off campus to suit your fancy.
Read MoreGreat food but it's really expensive to be on their meal plan.
Read MoreOn some days, the food is fantastic with many different options. Other days, nothing is appealing. There is always a salad bar and a fruit bar along with a variety of cereal if you cannot find anything else. The breakfast is usually my favorite. The hours kind of suck because if you're in class during certain hours, you just don't get to eat.. They do have pretty good retail dining in the UC where you can spend your dining dollars. The hours are pretty good too. Once again, meal plans are pricey but I enjoyed being able to go to the dining hall if I have no food in my dorm.
Read MoreDining halls are orderly and flexible in what they offer. Multiple on-site eating options exist as well as around-town options for every palate.
Read MoreAgain, greek life here is not the best. The sororities and fraternities are very nice but they just lack numbers it seems. Also, none of the houses are your typical ones.
Read MoreI'm currently an Aluma of Alpha Omicron Pi, however Greek Life is a blast! Highly recommend going through recruitment.
Read MoreI am in fact involved in Greek Life. I must say that it had to have been one of the best decisions that I've ever made. It is costly, and it is a struggle, but that will not hold me back from participating in Greek Life. Before joining a sorority, I was not aware of the fact that each house had a different philanthropy meaning they fundraise for a specific cause. Going through recruitment, I was able to meet some of the most amazing people that attend UNC.
Read MoreSorry I'm unaffiliated, but I have a few friends in fraternities that love it.
Read MoreGreek Life is pretty tame here.
Read MoreGreek Life is something that is very encouraged here. They have a lot of events and encourage people to get involved. There are a lot of frats and sororities that like to tell others what greek life is about.
Read MoreLots of Greek life here!
Read MoreGreek life is very open to people, and a lot of people rush and have fun.
Read MoreIt is smaller than larger schools but that allows for more people to get more involved and for an intimate experience with Greek Life.
Read MoreAlthough I personally am not involved, the Greek Life on campus is very large. Huge groups rush every year, and the fraternities and sororities do a lot of charity work each month.
