dorm space is okay depending on where you live. it is best that you try and find a good roommate or cool person to live with considering that is where…
This can be a tremendous amount of fun, although when I was an undergraduate, co-ed fraternizing could get you thrown out. Apparently, they now offer co-ed living. …
I am currently an residential adviser for one of the dorms at UNCP. The dorm life will really give you the experience and opportunities you will love as a college…
The housing services is nice and the dorms are nice im looking forward to the following years.…
I am a non-traditional student so I don't know about dorm life. …
A wide variety of places to eat from are available both on and near campus. Places located on campus are Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Papa Johns, and the traditional college UC kitchens; all of which you can redeem your meal plans at. Near campus are traditional fast food restaurants along with Japanese food, sand traditional soul food buffet restaurant known as Fullers.
Read MoreFood and dining is okay. There are a few variety of food choices and desserts. There are other shops on campus including Starbucks, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Papa John's Pizza, and more.
Read MoreI had their food at their cafeteria when I visited the campus on tour. I really love the quality of the food they hold.
Read MoreThere is great food around campus and two different coffee shops. However, the food services can sometimes be troublesome when it comes to time efficiency. The coffee shops can sometimes mess up drinks as well. However, they fix them properly if you tell them what they did wrong and without charge.
Read MoreEverybody who lives in a dorm is required to have a meal plan. As a student who makes ample use of this amenity, I figure that my input is credible. The availability of the cafeteria is great and as for food, it has made a turn to become a more healthy choice for the students. There are a number of other restaurants for those who don't want to eat at the cafeteria everyday such a papa john's in the Health building by the soccer field, simply to-go and WoW cafe inside the Chavis center, starbucks in D.F. lowry and KFC, Burger King, McDonalds, and Bojangles across the street from campus. There is also a Food Lion within walking distance and a Walmart, Taco Bell, San jose and Subway farther down the street. There are many other places to eat along the main road, but i only mentioned the ones that I frequent. All of the dining on campus are through the school, so you have the option to pay for the meal via bravebucks (which is an additive to the meal plan). My advice here: Know what you want to spend. You either spend a lot of money throughout the year to eat fast food, spend a lot of money buying groceries to cook, or spend a lot of money to the school and eat free throughout the year. I can almost guarantee that none are worth it, but you--like I do-- have to eat. HOWEVER, I would be remiss if i don't mention that COMPARATIVELY the prices here are VERY agreeable.
Read MoreDining is not the best. Luckily there are restaurants near campus that you can choose from.
Read MoreWhen I first came to Pembroke in 2011, the cafeteria food was tolerable. Now (2014), the cafeteria food is MUCH better! They've made some serious overhauls and it's actually delicious. There are also other options for food nearby in the same building, but be prepared to pay a little more for the convenience.
Read MoreThere are not that many food options on the UNCP campus. There is the main cafeteria, Bert's cafe, Papa Johns, and Starbucks. The food is okay, but could be better.
Read MoreThe food and dining here are pretty good. The Campus dining hall offers a plethora of foods and if the dining hall is not for you then other dining places are offered on and around campus.
Read MoreFraternities and Sororities are a large part of this school. For about every 10 college attendees, 6 of those are take part in Greek life and belong to a fraternity or sorority. They often take trips out of town to different cities and throw socials for the campus to take part in.

Read MoreThis campus offers a great precence of greek life. They are always involved in a lot on campus and is a great way to get involved.
Read MoreThere are a handful of sororities and fraternities on campus.
Read MoreThere are many new and old sororities at Pembroke. There are less fraternities but what they lack in size, they make up in style. They have strict policies on safety and getting in but that makes it more interesting.
Read MoreGreek life is HUGE on campus. I am actually apart of greek life on campus and I couldn't be happier. So many opportunities open up and so many new friends. I truly opened up after joining greek life.
Read MoreGreeks are very involved throughout campus. Each fraternity and sorority has an issue that they all focus on, such as breast cancer awareness, helping the homeless, helping St. Jude's hospital, environmental clean up, and community revival (building and rebuilding in the surrounding area).
