Create an account now!Because UIUC is like a town itself right in the middle of two other decently sized towns, there are activities for everyone. There are two recreation facilities that include pools and hot tubs, saunas, basketball courts, a rock climbing wall, an instructional kitchen facility, and much more. There is the state-of-the-art Krannert Center for Performing Arts which hosts world-renown performances. Green street is home to a wide variety of restaurants and bars where many students spend weekend nights. There are multiple event centers that host concerts that fit almost everyone's taste. There is an ice skating rink that is only $2 for students. There are many different sporting events to watch ranging from football and baseball to hockey, gymnastics, wheelchair basketball. There is quite literally something for everyone in this community whether it be on campus or in Champaign or Urbana.

On Quad Day, almost all of these organizations present themselves to you, opening so many opportunities. Greek life is also an option and is a great time. On weekends, there is always something to do whether going out with friends somewhere or checking out a university-sponsored event at places like the Union.

Read MoreThe party scene at the university is great, starting as early as Wednesday folks like to head out to the local bars, apartment parties or fraternity parties. If the party life isn't for you there's always something going on in the quad during the week and on the weekends the recreation room has many events as well as an arcade. Club activities tend to happen during the weekend, joining a club does not mean you're committed to going every single time so be sure to explore the many clubs the university has to offer.

Read MoreIt is always great to go down to the main quad where there is always something going on. You can always see people handing out flyers or starting chants so it's pretty fun to join in. Football games are also big so if you happen to come upon some tickets definitely go.
