I live in the newest dorms, so my experience may be a bit different (i've heard there's spiders in oakes lol) the rooms are decently sized, but unlike most colleges,…
I lived in College Eight my freshman year and it was amazing. I lived on the top floor of the building and I had a beautiful view of the ocean.…
Fantastic! My dorm-mates and I are still all best friends. Students at UCSC are affiliated with one of ten colleges. Freshman are required to take a course that's theme is…
Definitely live in dorms for your first year. If you're lucky, your roommates, hallmates, and housemates will become your family. Each college on the UCSC campus have different…
They do pretty good with their food. There's lots of options to choose from.
Read MoreNot much variety towards the last quarter. Stevenson has the best food.
Read MoreWe have been ranked the number one vegan and vegetarian friendly campus in the nation by Peta2. Our dinning halls also have great food and 30% of all our produce comes from local organic farms. Also, our dining halls always compost, save 30,000 gallons of water a month, and produce 40% less waste than most other campuses.
Read MoreThe food is pretty good, but gets a bit repetitive.
Read MoreFood and dining is alright, not bad but not the worst. It's school food, they have their good and bads.
Read MoreFood gets boring over time, but hey, you're here to learn, not eat!
Read Morei used the 7 day meal plan and enjoyed it. there are late night cookie services that deliver hot cookies and milk to your dorm - worth every penny.
Read Morethe dining hall has its ups and downs. the cafes are way better so definitely use your flexis and get some good food whenever you can. pasta and baked goods are usually a safe bet but there will always be pizza, burgers and fries everyday somewhere on campus.
Read MoreNot a big thing here. No greek row
Read MoreNot very big on campus but what we do have is very enthusiastic, energetic, and cathartic. They form a community and actually do have a lot of fun without the outrageous hazing methods stereotypical to frats.
Read MoreIt exists. That's all I know :P
Read Morethis is one is meh. most ucsc student's do not support greek life. there are no designated greek houses off campus. but as the years go on the students are starting to support greek life more and more. parties are more laid back at ucsc, definitely not ucsb level for sure. but if that is your thing then you will have to go off campus to find those.
Read Morealthough we aren't a sports school, there are many fraternities and sorrorities.
Read MoreThere are many Asian and White greek life.
Read MoreI haven't been very involved any greek life, so don't take my word on all of this! but there isn't much of it, majority of greek houses are off campus. There are lots of options to join so many different ones!!
Read MoreThere is some but it is not huge at the school. There is not a frat row and all the house are far from campus.
