The dorm life at the University of California Riverside is amazing. In fact, it is so amazing that many of my friends from other schools are jealous of the air…
While I was waiting for my friend at one of the dorm lobbies, the Resident Advisor provided donuts and orange juice to those living inside the dorms there. My friends…
If you're not a fan of constant noise in your hall until the early morning hours, don't live in AI. It is the most social res hall however and the…
the dorm life in my university has been an outstanding experience that will be a memorable one. dorm rules are lenient but strict, which is a good signal of school…
The dorms have a variety of learning communities to help you get to know people with similar interests. It will not be hard to make friends here.…
There is so many options on campus! Well so many might be an over statement, but there are some good options. There is even a pamphlet on campus you can pick up that show exactly how to order if you're vegan/vegetarian. The options are delicious and considerate of most dietary needs.
Read MoreAs a college freshman make sure to make sure you save your dining dollars so they last you all quarter. Also, use your meal swipes as they don't transfer from quarter to quarter. Lastly, don't eat too much junk as you WILL gain the freshman 15. P.S. The jalapeƱo mac and cheese as well as the grilled cheese from Lothian are delicious!
Read MoreNice cafes and a Peet's on campus.
Read MoreThe food around here and on campus is top notch.
Read MoreThe food is pretty yummy. The dinning hall is like a buffet. There are always new options on food. And the Food they sell on campus is pretty good too.
Read MoreLimited selection, but the food is acceptable. La Fiamma serves a nice customizable pasta lunch. Habaneros is similar to Chipotle. Also available: Panda Express, Subway, The Coffee Bean and Tea House, a burger grill, food trucks and more. The nearby University Village has myriad Asian restaurants (casual-dining).
Read Morethe food at the hub is good, but expensive. scotty's is where to go for cheap food. it's all as healthy as they can get it, too.
Read MoreDining hall: Their lunch and dinner is a toss up. Some days it's really good but breakfast is usually AMAZING. I'm speaking for the AI dining hall because I went to Lothian's and it was alright. I've heard several people say that AI's is better too. On campus, inside the HUB they have this delicious pasta place that is styled like Chipotle so that you decide your toppings and I go to it at least twice a week. They also have pizza, Haberneros (a rip-off Chipotle basically), a Panda Express, and a sushi place. Outside of the HUB there's a Coffee Bean and this place called the Grill that has the most delicious chicken tenders ever. There's a Starbucks by Lothian and food trucks: one sells ice cream, another sells burgers and such, and another sells Mexican food and sits right behind AI from 5pm-11pm on weekdays. There's also the UV which is about a 20-40 min walk from the dorms and they have a slew of eateries.
Read MoreCompared to other schools, the food at University of California Riverside is delicious and offers much variety. The chefs at University of California Riverside do take into consideration the suggestions of students and work to improve taste and quality. With this, University of California Riverside not only uses meal swipes as a way to obtain food, but offers dining dollars. Dining dollars are provided into the meal plan as an option that students can use to buy food from Starbucks, Coffee Bean, convenience stores on campus and in dorms, as well as fast food places with burgers, sandwiches, chicken nuggets and more.
Read MoreA party basically occurs every night if you know where to go.
Read MoreAlong with the clubs many Fraternities and Sororities also stay out to recruit people.
Read MoreSeveral fraternities and sororities are present. Some are major/career specific. Members generally have a laid-back, welcoming aura to them.
Read Moreamazing community, very little competition, unlike other schools. everyone is very very nice to each other, there's not really preconceived notions of disrespect for any org.
Read MoreI actually don't know much about this one but my friends who are in it seem to have many new friends. They also are more responsible and dress formal.
Read MoreGreek life is getting better, most likely from the amount of students that are picking UCR over other schools, they have a greek row and it's awesome.
Read MoreGreek life on campus is plentiful. While it isn't for everyone, sororities and fraternities often offer students a type of bond he or she wouldn't normally feel. Right next to the Bell Tower, Greek letters are placed for everyone in Greek life to socialize and bond with each other at most times throughout the day. While Greek life is incredibly time-consuming, the once-in-a-lifetime bond makes it all worth it!
Read MoreHighly recommend it!
