My dorming experience at Cuarto, a building called Emerson, went from good to bad, mostly because my roommates and I couldn't get along due to cleaning issues. …
Students should take advantage of living in the dorms freshman year. It is a great way to make friends and also experience college with those who are of the same…
There are four residence areas on campus. Each has a set number of buildings with a dining common and convenient store nearby. The areas are called Primero (for non-freshman undergrads,…
Quiet hours start at 11, which can be a challenge if you're hanging out with friends in the common area- sound travels everywhere. The dorms themselves are nice, and there…
The dorm buildings at Tercero are very new and clean. Would recommend. Segundo and Cuarto also have their perks. Living on campus is very beneficial, but don't expect to live…
It's good sections are really good

Read MoreThe food is healthier and delicious at first, but after a while, it all tastes the same. Do yourself a favor, especially if you live on campus, use your Aggie Cash to buy food from the shops or food trucks.
Read MoreUC Davis is a university full of diversity. Most people here are extremely nice and welcoming. UC Davis is also extremely close to Downtown Davis where all the good places to eat are at! TIPS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS - join clubs!! - socialize during the first week - get out of your comfort zone! ACADEMIC RIGOR - courses are quite rigorous but just make sure to find some tutoring or go to office hours DORM LIFE Living in the dorms led me to meet many of my great friends today. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience and it is a great way to meet new people. FOOD AND DINING There is a lot of variety with the foods offered here on campus. In addition, UC Davis is very close to Downtown Davis, which holds many delicious spots to eat! WHAT TO DO FOR FUN - go to Downtown Davis - go to UMall CAMPUS SAFETY SafeRide has helped for many occasions when I needed to travel around campus at night.
Read MoreAt first you will think that the food is amazing and it is for a couple of weeks. Soon you will realize other words, and get over it pretty soon. They serve the same things which makes it a bit boring.
Read MoreThe food in the town is pretty boring, there are only a few good spots. But, in terms of cafeteria food this is one of the best places for yummy meals...not that that's a super surprising prospect, we basically go to school on one giant farm. The veggies are all super fresh and yummy, I really love the selections and snacks here!

Read MoreThere is Greek Life at Davis, but it is really small and unlike huge schools. I went Greek and it is rewarding as all get out. If you are considering rushing, go for it, you don't lose anything by at least checking it out.
Read MoreI'm not personally part of Greek life, but from what I've heard, the Greek life is great. The sororities and frats are tailored to individual student needs based on academics and just social needs. If you're into Greek Life, Davis is a great choice.
Read Moredidn't bother. their parties, while fun, are still pretty much a joke. pregame and go in. you need to pay to be involved in a sorority / frat and it just didn't interest me.
Read MoreGREAT for the people who like greek life. There are parties almost every week.
Read MoreGreek life is not huge here, but there is a fair variety. Delta Lamda Phi, the gay/bi/progressive fraternity, is particularly active with Davis Is Burning, one of the biggest Drag shows in Northern California.
Read MorePlenty of opportunity here, especially if you're a transfer student, don't be shy, remember they were once in your shoes and understand!
Read MoreBig; lots of events on a regular basis, a sorority/fraternity for everyone.
Read MoreI, personally, am in the greek system, so my social calendar tends to be a bit more greek orientated. Greek life is prevalent for the parties thrown during welcome week and the large houses along the edge of campus, but overall greek life is fairly relaxed. About 20% of students are part of some sort of org so there is definitely is a presence on campus, but that number is made of students in not just Panhellenic and IFC orgs. I am in a social sorority, and I have been so thankful for my experience. I found a family and bonds for life. I found a support system I never thought possible outside my immediate family. My greek experience in Davis has been beyond the saying buying your friends. Davis can get a little lackluster, what I've bought is the opportunities to make memories with my friends. I'd be friends with these girls even if I left the org, the cost is simply to keep having fun. I'd recommend greek life to anyone who is interested (plus we have some killer parties) Fun fact too: Greeks at UCD have a higher overall GPA than non-greeks
Read MoreI personally am not apart of the Greek Life or participate in it, but plenty of students say it is wonderful. Just enough to satisfy your want for Greek Life but not too much where you become overwhelmed in it . I do appreciate the fact though that they are all off campus and that there are plenty with actual purposes such as community service, medical, and even law.
