Is UC Davis a good school for students considering pursuing a career in mathematics education? And on that topic, do they offer a program in which one can complete a teaching credential alongside earning their degree? Thank you!

Learn your way around because the campus is huge, and make some friends the first week while everyone is still outgoing.

UC Davis is a university full of diversity. Most people here are extremely nice and welcoming. UC Davis is also extremely close to Downtown Davis where all the good places to eat are at! TIPS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS - join clubs!! - socialize during the first week - get out of your comfort zone! ACADEMIC RIGOR - courses are quite rigorous but just make sure to find some tutoring or go to office hours DORM LIFE Living in the dorms led me to meet many of my great friends today. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience and it is a great way to meet new people. FOOD AND DINING There is a lot of variety with the foods offered here on campus. In addition, UC Davis is very close to Downtown Davis, which holds many delicious spots to eat! WHAT TO DO FOR FUN - go to Downtown Davis - go to UMall CAMPUS SAFETY SafeRide has helped for many occasions when I needed to travel around campus at night.

8ams and 9ams suck. If you live off campus, don't always rely on the bus system. And the mall is not a mall. It's a plaza, really. Bring a car if you can. It can sometimes get boring staying in town for too long. Make friends in your classes! Join clubs! And there's also a pretty good job finding resource.
