UAPB has a family feel! It’s a small campus so it’s not hard to get to know people. Everyone is usually friendly, you don’t have to pretend to be someone it’s someone on campus with the same interest and hobbies as you. If you have a business you’ll be supported by others. The lions den is usually the place to be on Wednesday’s. It’s many organizations you can join from modeling to community service. overall it’s a great place with great people and continues to improve everyday!

My advice for any students is to not just focus on just grades or just the social aspects of college. Make sure you make friends with as many administrators and professionals as possible (especially the ones in your department and financial aid). Also, don't severely limit yourself. College is the time to experiment so don't hold yourself back because of doubts and fears. If you are thinking about attending UAPB, then you should really come and visit on Lion Fever Day. All of the campus organizations come together to give a grand tour and show case of the campus to hundreds of prospective students.
