Although all of the classes i have taken at UAF ( engineering based as well as a few rec) have been very enlightening and I personally feel you get the level of teaching you sign up for- 100, 200 level classes- I have heard from more than one east coast person that they don't feel challenged enough.

They provide diverse programs for all different students. UAF students are engaged and have so much fun inside and outside the classroom. It is always underrated because it is the "local college" but it has a very good reputation among prospective employers and colleagues.
