If you are looking for an engineering job in the Huntsville area, UAH is well respected in north Alabama and there are lots of opportunities to make connections. Getting a merit scholarship greatly helps with the cost of going to school here. Most of the engineering majors get a lot of focus/funding from administration, so they are usually well run programs. Not so sure about the other majors, less prominent majors for sure do not have as many class options.

Most people come here because it's the cheapest public university in the state, but it's cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for.
