I've learned so much, not just in classes but being on my own and on campus. Responsibility is huge when in college. You have to study twice the amount of time you're in class. Aside from academics, I've learned how to cope without my circle of friends from high school. You quickly learn to make new friends and manage your time. Everything is coming together and I know when the academics get harder, I know I've got solid social skills behind me.

UTC has a beautiful campus and is well-staffed with kind employees and intelligent professors. The Honors College has provided me with opportunities to further my studies through internships, research, and thought-provoking seminar-style classes. While UTC is largely under construction and has a less-developed liberal arts curriculum, I have already created great memories with friends on campus and gained vital knowledge through rigorous, hands-on activities thanks to the hardworking faculty and administration.

  • I am researching this school and have not visited the campus

I am very excited to apply to UTC! The campus is beautiful and I like the proximity of the city. I am learning more about the academic aspects and the rigor and "bang for your buck" of courses seems to be pretty strong.

UTC offers a very diverse group of students, I love this because out of all the other schools I applied and were accepted to, lacked minorities. UTC's campus is beautiful, it offers appealing landscapes and historic buildings, so there's just as much to learn inside the classroom as outside. Finally, Chattanooga is an amazing city in itself, so you do not have to stray too far away from campus to have a good time in the city, there is also plenty of outdoor activities to take part in throughout Chattanooga's great outdoors.

A school composed of the kids who couldn't /didn't want to go to UTK. There are lots of preppy kids and hipsters. That's the main mix.
