First and foremost, the games are AMAZING! Tailgating on the quad is one of the best social experiences. I got my LSU ticket for $5 when non-students had to pay over $200 dollars. At least once a week there are free interest fairs in the Ferguson Center. The food is pretty good and the people are full of southern hospitality.

The campus is beautiful! I've never seen anything so gorgeous, I never wanted to go home. I even picked out just the right dorm and poked around Sorority Row to find my mom's old sorority as well as all of my friends'. They're all right next door to each other! Also, the dorm I picked is situated right beside Sorority Row next to the football stadium so not only will I never miss a game, I'll be living with all my new friends, my math class will be attached to my dorm and the journalism department, as well as the library and the Crimson White office, is a two minute walk from the dorm! What could be better? Hasta la vista Georgia, I'm a Bama girl now!

It is a beautiful school and I've met so many people that its hard to walk to class without running into somebody that I know. There are always clubs and events going on, and if there isn't you can start one. It rains a lot which I'm not used to, but other than that it is fantastic.

The students here are great, everyone will find a group of friends to fit in with through the many clubs and organizations on campus. The include fraternities and sororities, but also more unusual groups like mallet, which is a self governing honors society.

The area is small. The downtown and surrounding areas are interesting, but if you're used to large choices in shopping or night life, you will be disappointed. Grocery prices are really high, but rent is really low. I've had fun, but if you're looking for fun and an active lifestyle, there's a reason Florence is rated as one of America's #1 retirement communities.
