While I wish their electives (such as art) transferred to other colleges, you won't find many other colleges cheaper in the other areas (if they even have a college). The only downfall of going to a community college is that they make you take classes that do not pertain to your degree whatsoever. For example, I am majoring in Business; however, they are making me take pre-cal in my second year, which I do not need. Other than the un-important classes, you will get a lot of bang for your buck. It's much cheaper to earn your basics at a community college rather than go to some big school and pay two to three times the amount.
