Categories Comments Campus Safety Security is always available and on campus.
Greek Life All fraternity and sorority on campus
Clubs and Activities A lot of extracurricular activities between sports and academic clubs.
Great for these types of students Students that enjoy small campus and smaller class sizes
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Homecoming in November
Bang for the buck Reasonably price and scholarships availlable
What to do for fun I am a softball player so my team and I go to Bama games as well as basketball games.
Food and Dining Cafeteria provides healthy southern comfort food.
Dorm Life Dorms are smaller in size but dorm staff take very good and close attention to you.
Academic Rigor With the smaller class sizes, I am able to get one on one instruction from my professors.
Tips for prospective students I would make sure to have a vehicle so you can get around town. Class sizes are smaller and that is huge benefit to achieve your academic goals. Everyone is a family at our school so you won't be alone.
In three sentences Talladega has been a great school for me. I am from Florida and being away from home my experience has been a rewarding one. My professors go out of their way to make sure I am achieving my academic best.

Categories Comments Campus Safety campus police are always around. no reason for you to be unprotected while on campus.
What to do for fun talladega is so boring. the town is old, so there isnt nothing ever going on. we have parties thrown at the local clubs, but if you dont have a car you can think twice.
Food and Dining the cafe always serve the same ole things. only every now and then do you come across something good. i juss eat out most of the time.
Dorm Life the dorm life is what you make it. since the band makes up most of the school, you will see them alot. the dorm beds arent quite as good. you may have to wait to become a upperclassmen to get the good things, but i just deal with it.
Academic Rigor talladega isnt a hard college when it comes to workload. if you stay on top of your assignments, then your years will be a breeze.
Tips for prospective students if you're looking for a school to sort of give you an aspect of being away from home; this is your college. it is boring at times, but that allows you to get work done efficiently. also if you're looking for a small family atmosphere, this is your institution.
In three sentences talladega has a small academic setting. student life may be slow. it is very historic.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The school tries its best to keep everything in order, but by it being an open campus, things are bound to happen. .
Greek Life The Greek life is on the rise. We have most of the Divine Nine: Alpa Kappa Alpha (AKA), Delta Sigma Theta (DST), Alpha Phi Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Alpha Psi, and Phi Beta Sigma. The Greeks are actually pretty active on the campus, so you're bound to run into one everyday.
Clubs and Activities There are many different clubs and activities to get involved in on campus. My college life was really boring until I finally got out of my dorm room and explored everything that was being offered. Our volleyball and basketball games are really exciting and everyone comes out to them to show support. Furthermore, I find myself having a good time participating in our poetry club.
Great for these types of students This type of school is great for those kind of students who focus primarily on their academics, and students who do not need a highly active lifestyle to maintain. By the school being in a small city and not having much to do, it is extremely easy to stay focused on your work.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus At first, the school is not very jaw dropping. In fact, it is not jaw dropping at all. However, when you dive into the history of the buildings and school itself, you see how much history you're actually walking on. Foster Hall, which is a closed housing hall that has been marked a historic landmark, was home to the slaves that helped build the college. Our library, Savery Library, was hand built by those very slaves.
Bang for the buck Although the school is a bit pricey because of it being a private college, it is worth it. Since the school does not offer remedial courses, you are diving straight into your intended major's courses as soon as you get here. This allows you to fly through college and get your degree as soon as possible. I have witnessed someone come here and have a B.A degree in their field in only two and a half years.
What to do for fun Since the school is located in a very small town, you have to drive to nearby cities (which are only about 30-45 minutes away) to do what you would normally do at home: go to the movies, go out to eat, go to malls, and etc. However, the school tries its best to have events going on campus, such as Movie Night on the Lawn, Club Mahogany, and etc.
Food and Dining The cafeteria is very lacking. Although they have their good days, overall, I have to give it a 2 out of 5. While the staff tries their best to serve a variety of meals, their limited ingredients hinders them. The cafeteria is also pretty small and usually runs out of seats due to the growing student population.
Dorm Life The dorm life is not very appealing. Crawford Hall, which is the male freshman dorm, has very small rooms. The rooms should really only accommodate one person, but they have two people in one room. The restrooms, however, are well kept by the custodial staff. They (all dorms) are also very strict with curfew; they lock the doors on time, EVERY NIGHT. Frankly, I recommend trying your luck with staying inside one of the student houses.
Academic Rigor The school really stresses academics. All of the teachers are very knowledgeable in their field and have a strong passion for it. This is a school where things such as extending curfew (or no curfew at all) and other privileges, open up to you when your GPA ascends.
Tips for prospective students Make sure this is what you want your college experience to be. Many students want the university feel when coming to college; this does not have that feel. The school is in a small town and does not have much to do. I recommend visiting the campus before making your decision, so you can really see what you're coming to. By going to a university before attending this school, I can really say that the difference is something to get used to.
In three sentences Talladega College is a small, interactive campus. Since the school is so small, everyone pretty much knows everyone. Although they stress academics, they also stress supporting the athletic teams and getting involved around campus.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Come back before curfew. Don't do drugs. Meet new people but be cautious. IF IT FEELS WRONG THEN IT IS WRONG
Clubs and Activities Talladega College Choir is popular. the student sing their hearts out. The voices make my body shiver every time we have convocations in the chapel. joining the choir u can get a scholarship to help you with your college fees.
Food and Dining the food at Talladega College is fair! nothing is like your Mother's cooking but its eatable. I Love their breakfast. I get up every morning just to eat their scrambled eggs, pancakes .etc. ..the pizza is my favorite too. I like the fact that we can get seconds if we wanted.
Dorm Life the dorm life is exciting! you get to live with other people from all over the U.S. you get to experience living with them and what they like and how to deal with certain issues. For me, the dorm introduced a new friend.
Academic Rigor THE ACADEMIC rigor is basketball. u will see a lot of students attend the basketball games or that is on the team; the band is something that I honestly like because I like music..and the fact that they are good!
Tips for prospective students Tips for students is to stay focused! be punctual with your time and STUDY. get out your comfort zone and meet new people, you never know someone can be your new best friend. Ask questions and STUDY ...you will do fine
In three sentences My rate for Talladega college is a 80% because Talladega is my hometown so I love this college, it is an great historical place, and the college has an great choir! my only concerns are the intuition. I think that at this college students have to constantly pay. I love history so just to be at a place that was built by former slaves is cool to me.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus could be a lot safer than what it is. In the past a couple of students were shot over a bunch of foolishness.
Greek Life The Greek life is excellent. Here at talladega Greek life has a big roll on students and the school
Bang for the buck Its too expensive
What to do for fun If students just want to get away or go somewhere to have fun, there is a place where students can play arcade games and watch TV on the big screen, or there's open gym.
Food and Dining The food can be ok but usually it's awful. Sometimes the food isn't cooked thoroughly like it should be.
Dorm Life The dorms could be way a lot better. The bathrooms are always messy and the showers are rusty. The rooms are ok depending on which one you're in.
Academic Rigor Academically I try my hardest to get the grades I need to excel. The work load can be tuff sometimes but usually I pull through.
Tips for prospective students My advice for prospective students will be to apply for as many scholarships as you can and to make sure you stay focused on whats more important.
In three sentences Talladega college is a great historical black college and is filled with lots of history. It has a perfect size, not too big not too small. It also has a nice amount of people from different states.

Greek Life The Greeks are awesome.
Clubs and Activities They have plenty of clubs and activities. They have different clubs for you to participate in according to your major. They have Lots of things for freshman to do.

Dorm Life The dorms aren't all that. They are remodeling another dorm hall though.
In three sentences I would rate the college a 5 on a scale from 1-10.

Greek Life Greek life is amazing they are always doing something for the students and their community.
Great for these types of students It's great for students that like that one on one time with their professor and who just want to get away from their parents but still be a little close to home.
