There are plenty of things in and around campus to do. Syracuse also offers shuttles to take you off campus and on fun excursions such as white water rafting, skiing, etc. Syracuse has plenty of campus ran activities to enjoy as well.

Everyone recommends that you go around to the city and go to some popular spots like Dinosaur BBQ (a regional chain), Destiny USA (a large mall that is really only large because of the sheer amount of stores, a good majority being stores that are uninteresting to me), and local events. This is upstate/ central New York, so you get that same vibe for events, such as the State Fair.

You can never be bored here. There is honestly a party every single night if that is what you are in to or there is one of the biggest malls I've ever been to only a short uber ride away. There is marshal street which has all of the dining options you need when you are sick of the dining halls.

There are many clubs and groups to be a part of. There are also many different attractions around the city and of course the mall.

There are so many things to do for fun. The 6th biggest mall is only a short bus ride away and there are many fun activities that are planned by Syracuse committees and organizations. The Greek life is big, so every weekend there are plenty of parties to choose from and in the winter there are holiday formals. There are so many amazing clubs on campus that if you want to get involved you can and if there isn't something that interests you, it's pretty easy to start a new club. There are 18+ bars and night clubs around the area that make for a great night out, but there are also great ways to stay in and enjoy a quiet night. Not to mention the endless amount of sports games one can attend or even be a part of.

There is always something going on around campus. Between all the dance, theatre, comedy, and music groups, there are performances close to every weekend. There are always events going on usually free or $3 a ticket. Armory Square (the downtown area of the city) and Destiny USA (the mall) are easily accessible via shuttle from main campus. The nightlife and party scene is a big part of Syracuse. Someone asked me what the funnest party I went to freshman year was and I realized, it's not the party, it's what you and your friends make of it that makes the difference between a fun night and a sucky night.

Most students go to Marshall Street for fun. It is a street located on campus containing various dessert, food, and beverage stores. Besides that, there is another street not far from campus called Wescott Street where students can eat and go to bars.
