Almost all the freshman dorms are quite nice for common dorms. As you move up in grade level they become significantly nicer, however also significantly more expensive.…
The living areas here are in great shape. When you room here the first year they match you with someone they feel you would be compatible with, then the years…
i love living in my dorm. there is so much camaraderie. …
While the dorms themselves are not of the highest quality (largely due to the age of the buildings) and certain aspects such as internet speed and sound proofing are not…
The Cove has awesome food and a variety of things to choose from. The Commons honestly change from day to day in quality and variety.
Read MoreThe first year it's really good. Like extremely tasty and tons of options. Of course after a while you get used to all the food, but the dining hall really do work hard to make a nutritious meal. It may not have too many vegan options, but they try. Also, they try to take advice from students, so if you need to complain or input suggestions, they're willing to hear you out.
Read MoreOn campus there is the cafeteria, which serves a large variety of cooked self- serve food, including a constant salad and pizza bars. There is also another place to get food next-door which sells Starbucks as well as burgers and sandwiches. The food has a good variety and students are working towards more sustainable food sources.
Read MoreVegetarian or carnivore, the campus has excellent, satisfying, and healthy dinning choices. Students can either eat in the cafeteria, or the cafe on campus. There are also a number of local and chain businesses nearby to go to as well.
Read MoreStudents usually have their meals in the common, Most students eat there as part of their meal plans and there have been meals that I did enjoy. The cove is a great place to get something at the grill like a fresh burger, a sandwich, or something on the go. But of course when you live off campus like I do, then doing your own cooking is also a challenge but it is rewarding in the end.
Read MoreThe food here would be great except that it's extreamly expensive. Also, it's manditory that all students get a meal plan that's a couple thousand dollars a semster. Also if you don't use all the days on your meal plan every week, you do not get that money back. However, the staff is really nice and the food is good just not worth what we pay for it.
Read MoreThe cafeteria staff is social and friendly. The food is great! But like anywhere, it gets kind of monotonous to be eating something prepared in the same place, by the same people every day.
Read MoreWONDERFUL dining services! Huge buffet style cafeteria and large sitting area - feels more like a nice diner than a cafeteria. Breakfast is my favorite! Always good!
Read MoreThere is Greek life. There are sororities and fraternities. There are no sorority houses on campus but there are fraternity houses. Greek life is not as wild as seen on other campuses.
Read MoreCRAZY! but so much fun. They can sometimes be cliqueish, but it is fun and they work hard during events and fundraisers.
Read MoreGreat :) the parties are fun.
Read MoreVery active sororities and fraternities both! Always an afternoon tea, sports event, etc. Have been very impressed by the kindness of every organization!!!
Read MoreThere are four fraternities and four sororities. The sororities do not have houses, but the four frat houses lie together on campus. They are the hub of social life, and there's a house for most types of people to fit in.
Read MoreI personally enjoy Greek Life at Southwestern. We have four sororities, which all have great girls. There is no rivalry between the sororities, and I have some friends in the ones outside of my own. However, there are no sorority houses. The men in the fraternities are genuine guys for the most part, and throw fun parties for the students on campus. They are usually very open about who attends their parties.
Read MoreWe have four social sororities, ADPi, ZTA, Tri Delt and AXD and four social fraternities, Sig, Pike, Phi and KA, as well as a number of academic and service fraternities. A large percentage of the student population is involved in Greek Life, but you don't need to join a greek organization to have a good time.
Read MoreThere are four fraternities and four sororities on campus. The fraternities all have houses, but the sororities are historically not allowed to have houses, though they have a building on campus with large storage and meeting room space. They all seem to be very inviting of prospective members and none have bad reputations. Greek life does not impede one from being a hardworking student.
Read MoreI'm not personally in a sorority, but the sorority girls here are all really sweet and super involved. There's also several frats and service sororities/fraternities. A lot of people who are in frats/sororities still have time for awesome grades and other organizations if they want, too.
Read MoreIt is both crazy and friendly. It is not extreme like UT or LSU and there are only 4 fraternity houses. There are no sorority houses. One universal recommendation: Do not prioritize the Greek life over everything else. I have seen too many of my peers fall into that hole. It is extremely difficult to get out.
