The teachers are really helpful and most are really good about getting papers or tests backs quickly. I feel pretty challenged, but never really overloaded. Most professors are really good about dealing with special circumatances.

Southern Oregon is an amazing accepting school, great for transfers and for first years. I am a sophomore here and have had wonderful fun professors who know your name and love to help. The advisors are also very helpful with any of our problems.

Southern Oregon University is a wonderful Liberal Arts University and has a superb education system. The people and staff of the university are helpful and welcoming, there is a vast choice of dining to choose from, and it is a beautiful campus. Aspiring Theater or English majors will particularly enjoy this college.

This campus is perfect for those who love to be close to nature and enjoy living in smaller towns. The location is absolutely beautiful with a variety of places to go to such as going hiking or going downtown to get Italian food. Teachers know the students by their name and face which creates that good teacher and student bond.

I love how you are encouraged to be yourself and have a diverse of people who all bring other points of view who might not be like yours but that doesnt define your experience. Everyone in Ashland is extremly nice and welcoming no matter where you are from.

SOU is filled with lively students who border on the obnoxious side who have a LOT of school spirit. Being in Ashland people are very opinionated and care much for the environment (surprising, considering you can find many students smoking all around campus). All in all it is a good school for students looking to get involved with social circles.
