Read your textbook!! Read the chapter your teacher is lecturing on before class. Start your homework early and do a little each day so its not over whelming. Also, don't be afraid of changing your major. If you hate your what you are doing in your current major, then change it. This is the rest of your life; don't end up doing something you hate.

Do not come here thinking it will be easy. This is a tough school that is very serious about learning and preparing for your career. If you have not had a rigorous high school schedule you may not be prepared for what you find here. We do not have a high retention rate because we accept a lot of people who, in the end cannot handle what is expected of them, and transfer to somewhere else. If you are considering attending ask yourself if you are willing to not have a social life and put everything you have into your studies. If the answer to this question is yes, then this may be the school for you!

If you ever have any questions to ask, ask anybody around the campus for advice, it will help you a lot. Whenever possible, get a tour of the fascilities to see teachers and a sense of where you'd want to study at.
