I have not yet begun my classes, so I cannot speak to all aspects of campus life and class dynamics, but my advice would be to ask questions- as many as you can think of. This will help you to get a better sense of the way that the school functions, but also help to create a more personalized relationship between tour guides/ faculty members and yourself.
