Make good friends and be a good friend. You'll want to be able to count on others as well as be counted on. In college, you're going to learn the be independent and at times be depended on. Surround yourselves with the right people, and you will become the right person. Do not be afraid or intimidated by the people around you; be the first to introduce yourself and break the ice or you'll be left thinking about what relationship could've been. Read your Bible daily. It is good to be in the word as much as you can for through it, you are being fed spiritually.
