Around Town

At SLC you really have to make your own fun here. EX. Playing sports outside getting friends and watching a movie in the lounge. The campus activities are cool but they are not as often. You really need to make your own fun here.

The closest mall is 50 minutes away from Silver Lake College. In the town, there are a few department stores and many restaurants that are decent. Things to do: Bowling, movie theater, ice skating, roller skating (indoor), hiking (there is a state forest about 15 minutes away from campus- called Point Beach). Biking. Rahr West Museum, Martime Museum, West of the Lake Gardens. In general it is a beautiful and natural area and Lake Michigan is 10-15 minutes away from campus.

There is a lot of opportunities for fun with different clubs and sports.

Silver Lake Cab always plans tons of awesome activities. Bowling, movie nights, and going to the work out center are just a few of the activities we have all enjoyed.

Frisbee golf, basketball, movie night, soccer, games.

They have a lot of events...if you check their website, you'll see something going on quite often.
